"Watch it!" He yelled, flinging his claws into the air, trying to pull back.  His eyes opened wide as his dark, brown eyes glittered off of the rains own world.
But Cactus had no time to think. Only time to stop death. After all, she believe she killed enough. Which was one, Ash.
    Maybe.
Her wings fluttered back, and pulled her body to a stop. Her brown eyes shivered, as if they were having their own storm inside. She studied his look, his scales, his eyes color. . .
  Jackal?
"Jackal? Why are you here?" Cactus breathed. Her claws crunched up.
"Why are youuuu here?" He ignored.
"Don't tease me, I asked first." Cactus snorted playfully.
Jackal chuckled. "My father was in that army, so I went after him."
Cactus held her breath, before rubbing her horns. "He uh, he left already."
Jackal's wings dropped. "Oh, come on! I got lost like fifty-million times."
"Well, I'm not used to-" Cactus started, but paused to let the large clap of lightning, with a boom of thunder following. Rain poured heavier.
"Being in Rain."
Cactus snorted as she flinched slightly.
Jackal laughed. "Anyway, why are they already done? It went quick."
Cactus breathed sharply. A long pause happened before she relented the tragic scene. She flew past him, narrowing her eyes. "Your father's probably back home anyways. Just, go back."
"Wait," he said, flying after her. Cactus stopped, listening to the heavy wind beating down on her wings.
"Tell me what happened, please." He begged.
Cactus looked down, regretting ever coming after her mother.
"A friend of mine, Ash, came and tricked them killing Widow so everyone freaked out and flew off so I kinda scratched his neck. I'm not even sure he's dead."
"Wow. . ." Jackal said, cocking his head. "Some friend."
"He's an animus-" Cactus started to explain.
"That lost his soul." Jackal finished.
Cactus shivered, the sentence haunting her.
"Hey, I know this is totally not in he range of this subject, but- I found this in the library downstairs in the old room, you know, that place where we are not suppose to go to?" Jackal started searching for something in a pouch that flopped around his side.
"You went in there? How'd you get past that scary ol' librarian?"
Jackal finally pulled out a ripped scroll, that was covered in dust and old, fancy ink. "I have my ways," he grinned slightly. "It mentioned something about a SandWing and a Crystal and stuff and a sharp prickly green thing to I kind of thought it was you? Since your the Crystal Dragonet and all."
Cactus finally realized what he was talking about. Something she wanted forever. That she needed to do what every Crystal Dragonet did.
     Find her scroll.
     Find the Dragonets.
     Find her power.
