Cactus's heart sped up, trying to rip out of her chest.
"Is that. ." She tried to speak. "My. . .?"
Scroll to really see my purpose?
"Read it to me!" She yelled, her eyes wide and curious. Jackal snorted. "Are you kidding? I'm not your father and your not two."
Cactus growled in frustration. "Would you like it to catch on fire in your hands? Because I'm sure that'll be a fun thing to toss around!"
Jackal flinched and rolled his eyes playfully. "Okay, okay." He blew off the dust then opened the scroll, starting off quietly.

" the longer you have to wait for something, the more you will appreciate it when you arrive. But on this journey, you might need some luck to survive. The harder you have to fight for something, the more priceless it will become when you achieve it. And the more pain you have to endure in your journey, the sweeter the arrival at your destination. All good things are worth waiting for and fighting for. What is meant for such a wild prickly plant, with scales of fire, but where is your power? What cliff do you see? So sharp and steep you may flee.
With a guardian unlike its own, guarding what seems to be nothing. But what's inside that wall awaits you, of a city that no one could visit.
Will you find the power of. . ."

"And then it seems to be ripped off." Jackal twisted it around so he could see.
Cactus started thinking hard. Real hard.

Wait, remember the prophecy I spoke of. . The city! That's it! That's where my Crystal is! What city? we have no cities. Where is it? I have to go, now! And find the Dragonets!

Cactus took off, leaving him behind. Her wings were aching; just because of how much she's been flying in the rain.
"Hey, wait! Where are you going? I would stop you if I could!" He flew after her, trying to keep up. Which worked, since Cactus wasn't her speedy self when she was tired.
"You can't go now! You need rest! No matter if it's day or night!" He flew in front of her, waving his claws. "And. . . I should go to! Ya' know, just in case you need help."
Cactus scowled. "I don't need help," she scoffed. "And I don't need rest."
Jackal shifted his claws nervously, trying to keep herself in the air. "Okay, I don't want to come, but I do think you should get rest. And then wake up through half way through the day, then sneak out."
"And not telling my parents. . ." She whispered, putting her claw to her chin. She then sighed, her wings already starting to slow down the beats from floating in the air for such a long time. "Fine, okay."
But she glanced at the scroll then him. "I'll need you to keep this, Okay? Keep it until. . . Meet me at the Edge of Mt. Thorn, once the Sun reaches the middle of the sky. Okay?"
Jackal looked nervous, but nodded. "Yeah, yeah, why?"
"Don't worry, just meet me there!" She turned and flew off, the sky becoming clearer.
But her family.
Will they worry about her?
Will they even care?
