This car ride is torture. Both Kayla and Alex have been talking through me. Kayla will say one thing and I'll respond. Then Alex talks to me and I relay it because they refuse to talk to each other.

"Enough! If you want to talk to each other then leave me out of it! Alex, pull over. I'm driving. Now! Move it!" I snapped at them, yelling almost coherently.

The car swerved and sped up before slowing down and stopping at the side of the road. Alex looked back at me with shock. Kayla looked swiftly at Alex then back at me with the same shock on her face.

I glared at Alex and Kayla. Alex seemed a bit scared while Kayla just looked curiously shocked. Alex got out of his spot and tried sliding into the passenger seat. I looked at him with another glare and he silently slid in next to Kayla.

I got up and into the driver seat, ignoring the tension between the two in the backseat of the car. I turn around to look at them. "We are not stopping until we reach camp. I cannot handle more of your bickering than I need to. So where is the 'Camp Half-Blood'?"

Kayla replied, "Keep going straight. Have your GPS set to Montauk in Long Island Sound."

Alex nudged her and glared. She sighed before continuing, "We shouldn't stay up all night. Even if we take turns driving that only leaves one of us awake. If a monster attacks then we can't handle it. His words, not mine."

"I will be driving until we get to the beach. Kayla, you can sleep. Alex, since you're concerned, can stay up in case a monster attacks. Once we get to the beach, I will switch with Kayla. Happy Alex?" I sent another exasperated glare his way.

He nods, "Might I recommend that Kayla take her shift earlier? That way you can get some rest before we get to camp. And I know Kayla could handle any monsters alone."

I think back to her quick fight with him and giggle. They were both powerful... Strong fighters. "Good plan. Now let's go."

I started the car and started off towards camp. Fortunately, no monsters attacked. Unfortunately, they both fell asleep and I had to stay up all night driving. I got to the beach and slammed the breaks, causing them both to wake up. In a flash they were both out of their seats and outside the car with their weapons drawn.

"I don't know where to go from here. No monster." I tried to suppress my yawn but it came out anyways.

"I got this. You two sit in the back. Make sure she sleeps." Kayla looked stern then giggled and jumped into the driver seat as I slid into the back next to Alex. I took a nap and woke up as we got to camp.

"We're here! New demigod coming through!" Kayla was yelling at the top of her lungs the second she parked. We got out of the car and followed Kayla through camp and to what looked like a house. Quite a big one too.

"Chiron!" I covered my ears at her squeak and looked up to see a man in a wheelchair roll into the room.

"Kayla, inside voice. Who do we have here?" The man had a soft voice, he looked wise beyond how old he looked.

"Right, sorry. This is Riley Andrews. She-"

"I'm sorry to interrupt, but is this place really for demigods? If that is the case then who are you? Or who is your godly parent or whatever?" I couldn't help but be curious, I mean, who wouldn't?

"Patience child. I am Chiron, the director of this camp. I am a centaur and my father is Kronos. Yes, this is a safe haven for demigods. And if you want to know who your godly parent is, they should claim you by tonight."

"Right. So, what happens now? Do I have a cabin yet? Well I don't have anything I could put in it, could I get a fresh change of clothes?"

"Of course. Kayla?" Chiron looked at her and she nodded.
