jonathan was walking to his car with his book–bag over his shoulder. he was ready to go home. after word got around that barbara holland was missing school today, he felt the atmosphere grow dimmer than it already was with will missing. he knew the truth about barb... kind of. what does know for sure is that he has an eerie feeling about her disappearance.
as he caught the sight of his car, he saw steve, carol, tommy, and nicole... aka the girl that who saw him reproducing the photos that he took from the last night.
he grew tense at the sight. it's a sight he'd only have a nightmare of and not really dream like most in hawkins high would.
"hey, man." steve hopped off the trunk of jonathan's ride. the timid teenage boy furrowed his brows. "what's going on?" he asked quietly yet not too curiously. they all looked too leisure, letting him guess that they want something from him.
from the corner of his eye, he saw amelia walk to the school's parking lot while looking down at the flower in her hand. she was amused but it. jonathan turned to her with a forceful yet calm expression. amelia brought her eyes up to him and smiled with a wave. when he didn't crack one back, the girl immediately knew something was off.
she began walking faster.
"nicole here was, uh, telling us about your work." steve began with crossed arms. carol nodded along. "we've heard great things."
"yeah. sounds cool." tommy piled. steve walked by tommy with a careless smile.
"and we'd just love to take a look. you know, as..!connoisseurs of art." steve sounded bitter.
amelia walked up to them, clutching onto her bag for some reason. "what's up, guys?" she asked the group with an unsure tone. steve turned to her with a smile. "amelia!" he grinned. he walked up to her and put his arm over her shoulders. "just the girl that jonathan was hoping for."
"your bestie here has some photos to share with us." tommy smirked. amelia grew uncomfortable with what was happening. she just stood like stone and let everything unfold.
"i don't know what you're talking about." jonathan sighed as he walked to the other side of his car.
"oh, no?" tommy followed jonathan and ripped his bag away from him.
jonathan stuttered and reached out. "please give me my book–bag." tommy chuckled as he opened it and began looking through the items. amelia chewed on her lip. "just give him the bag." she finally spoke out with a boring sigh as she tried to get it herself.
