"nancy!"

jonathan yelled again. amelia was walking around with a flashlight, frantically looking for her. "come on, come on." she kept repeating under her breath. "where are you?"

jonathan kept on calling her name, making amelia jittery about all of this. the thoughts of her and jonathan having to leave the woods with nancy not walking out with them made her goosebumps get goosebumop.

"jonathan!" nancy yelled. her voice would echo yet there was no feedback. "amelia!"

she kept on yelling their names and all she would hear was her own echo. she was running around, panicking, trying to find out where she was. "guys, i'm right here!"

"nancy!" they yelled together loudly. they were out of breath, heavily panting. amelia stopped at a certain tree. her eyes fell on the book–bag laid against the tree. her eyes then averted to the gooey, glowing and oddly breathing hole in the tree.

"guys, where are you?!" she heard. amelia kicked the bag aside and pointed her flashlight at the gap. "amelia! i'm right here!"

"nancy?" lia muttered, her confused expression worm. "jonathan!" nancy shouted.

amelia heard jonathan run up to the tree. "we're right here!" he yelled in. he glanced at amelia and quickly wondered why she wasn't doing anything. she sat frozen and confused.

"jonathan!" nancy shouted. "we're right here, nancy!" jonathan yelled in, tearing his eyes away from amelia. "we hear you!" amelia finally shouted. "just follow our voice!"

amelia dropped the flashlight between her and jonathan and pulled her hair back. "what are you doing?" jonathan questioned.

"nancy!" amelia screamed in and poked her head in the glowing gap, the goo getting in her dark hair. "amelia!" she heard nancy shout back. "follow my voice!" amelia directed.

she went back out and turned to jonathan. "she's in it's home." jonathan bugged out his eyes.

he nervously jittered and moved his body closer to the tree. "nancy! follow our voice!" he shouted. "nancy!"

a hand stuck out the hole. jonathan and amelia fell back, but came forward to help pull nancy out.

"jonathan!" nancy's cries were clearer. "nancy!" they both grabbed her arm and tried to push her out.

nancy started to groan with a strain as both amelia and jonathan struggled to pull her out. with one last tug from amelia, nancy was free, falling on jonathan. lia fell on the ground, her flashlight hitting her back. "ow!" she groaned in pain.
