(Unedited)

The alpha and I easily defeat the rogues without any trouble. We work together, like knowing exactly what the others next move was. Dead bodies littered the floor within minutes and all that was left is the puffing of air being pushed in and out of our lungs, the adrenaline slowly fading from our system and i finally feel the effects of my wounds.

I try to not show any weakness in the presence of the Alpha and attempt remain standing but the injuries are too severe and I collapse on the ground catching his attention. Without flaw or failure he shifts effortlessly either forgetting or not caring about his naked body as he rushes towards me and assesses the damage.

"We need to get you to the pack doctor" He scrambles to pick me up but I growl not trusting him, I always knew that I would die from some kind of battle and I have accepted that.

"Please just let me help you." He pleads with me, the strong and guarded Alpha I had seen over the past few days gone, now replaced with a vulnerable man, worry in his eyes.

I give up and let him touch me, my wounds being the only thing I can focus on as he picks me up and holds me close to his chest. Running as fast as he can we head back towards the pack, his stamina helps to reach the destination faster then the average man or wolf without failure and we arrive at a small building a while away from the pack house.  I am drifting in and out of consciousness.

With the wounds my body is ready to shut down, I can hear the Alpha yelling at me, saying something, but the sounds are all foggy, black spots appear in my vision and my head spins. As I feel myself being put onto a soft surface my body gives up and I am enveloped in darkness.

"Alpha, it is unclear as to when she will come to, her body is healed but she has been subjected to extreme trauma and it is only up to her body to decide when she wakes up. Due to the scars that cover her, we can conclude that someone had already inflicted harm to her from a young age which may have contributed to her distrust and misunderstanding of werewolves as a race, they could have distorted her image of the world around her."  A woman said.

I heard a thundering growl, loud smashing noises and quiet footsteps exit the room. My body aches and and I am unable to move I begin to panic but I can't do anything about it. My eyes won't open and I am vulnerable to anyone that could hurt me. He might come back, he could take me, at the thought of this I panic more. My breathing elevates and so does the beeping coming from my right.

I force my self to calm down, knowing nothing can be done without assessing my current situation. Once my breathing is under control I focus all I can on trying to open my eyes, they finally open slightly but only for them to be closed again, frustrated I force them open and this time they stay. Looking around the room that I am in I see all different machines surrounding me, I am laying on a bed, it is slightly hard and the pillow under me is thin, I've never been in a bed before and its not like I thought it would be. Turning my head to the left I can see the Alpha, he stands in the corner of the room head bent and body slumped.

Looking down I notice a body, one that I don't recognise, its connected to my head and its then that I realise its me, I am covered by clothes and blankets but I can see my hands and now feel my covered legs. I am weak and vulnerable in this form, its unknown to me, the last time I was like this I was eight unable to defend myself and people were able to hurt me. Panic sets in again as I don't know how to shift back, my only shift being my first. I need to leave.

With the thought of pain and panic memories flash past my eyes. hurt. pain. teeth. fur and claws are gone as fast as they appear.

Without knowing how to use this voice all that comes out is a fearful whimper and with that the Alpha lifts his head shock written on his face. Not noticing him I scramble to find some kind of safety, falling out of the bed i crawl to the opposite corner of the room, a needle I hadn't noticed before is ripped out of my skin, I curl into a ball only hoping to disappear, in this form people have and will harm me. I just now notice the blood dripping down my arms and cover the wound with my hand. I rock back and forth attempting to soothe myself somehow.

The Alpha moves with haste in my direction, he tries to reach for me but I cry out louder. Fearful I curl into myself more.

"Please, let me help you" He begs me, though I just cry harder not understanding anything in this human form and not used to being the vulnerable one, unable to protect myself.

The door bursts open and I am scared its him, come to hurt me, to tame me once again. At this thought I hyperventilate.

"Calm down, you are safe, its okay, your okay. No one here will hurt you. Look at me." I notice it is the woman's voice I heard from earlier and it calms me in the way that a mothers voice would calm a scared child. My breathing slows and I lift my head from my position to look at her. She is ordinary, a slim figure with brown eyes and brown hair that is streaked with silver that somehow complements her and smile lines on the sides of her eyes and mouth.

Smiling gently towards me she asks "Can I see your arm sweetie?" I give her my arm cautiously looking at her with curiosity wondering why she wants to help me. The Alpha sits on the edge of the bed facing us, he doesn't say anything and only watches.

"That looks sore, do you mind if I bandage it?" She asks tentatively. I nod slowly, finding comfort in her soothing voice.

She puts some liquid on it that makes the cut sting but I am distracted by the look on the Alpha's face. His eyebrows are drawn together in concentration and he stars blankly at the wall.

Walking over to the alpha when she is done the woman whispers thinking that I cannot hear her. "Alpha Gabriel, it seems that your mate has been deprived of the proper tools to develop as a child, she needs careful nurturing, in this state she is more vulnerable. She does not know herself in this form and you must gain her trust in order to help her, I believe that she had been abused when she was young while in human form, possibly by a male due to the way she acts towards me and you because of the the scars on her body and the way in which she behaves while in human form compared to her stronger werewolf form, this abuse could have caused her first shift to come earlier instincts to protect herself coming forward and therefore she didn't have the proper knowledge, life experience and education to grow mentally." The woman said grimly. I don't really understand what she said but I know that it must not be good by the look on the Alpha's face.

I stare at the Alpha as he pauses taking In all the information and I also take the moment to put a name to his face, Gabriel. Alpha Gabriel. I like it.

"Thank you Rosa." Was all he said.

The alpha and I were left staring at each other once again.
