4. Kate's howl

"Hi there, Hutch!" Kate said to his white and black wolf friend. "Hey Kate!" Hutch happily smiled, "You look pretty! So um, do you wanna hng out together?" Hutch asked Kate. "Ah-sure!" Kate said. Lilly and Candu were chatting with Reba and Janice. It looked like they were talking about something funny because Kate saw them laughing about something.
From a distance, Humphrey and his gang were coming. "Ahem" The leader of the pack, Winston, cleared his throat, "Wolves of the Western pack, welcome to the Howling Rock. We shall now begin the moonlight howl!" He announced.
All the wolves started howling, starting with the Alphas. Humphrey showed off his howling as all the girls went head over heels for him, including Kate. His voice was smooth and melodic. Winston and Eve howled a soothing duet. As other wolves also started howling, Kate felt a pressure. She was nervous to howl in front of Humphrey. "I wonder if my voice sounds good... "Kate said. "I'm sure its really nice!" Hutch reassured her. "Thanks Hutch. Only you can understand me when no one else can." She said, smiling a bit. "Yeah, well, what are best friends for!?" He grinned. It was Kate's and the other omega's turn to howl. Kate gulped nervously as her friends watched her wit eager smiles on their faces. She knew this was it. She had to impress them.
Kate threw her head back with her hair bouncing, howling a melody at the moon. Lilly, Candu, Reba and Janice listened to her musical howl dreamily. Salty and Shaky swirled their tails around and their eyes were closed, their ears took in the beautiful howl. Mooch was smiling wildly and it liked like he thought of his favourite food. Humphrey was the most eager to hear her howl and was quite surprised as he stood there with his eyes wide, completely speechless. When Kate finished her melody, her friends all gathered around praising her harmonic voice. She blushed and shrugged. Humphrey then came to her, "Wow Kate.... That was beautiful... "He said, with a big smile.
Lilly whispered in her ears, "Congrats on impressing your crush." Kate blushed madly as she nervously smiled at Humphrey. Humphrey had almost the same reaction, but he wasn't blushing. All the wolves continued howling as the night went on. Finally after midnight, the whole pack returned to the den to sleep.

Kate does have a beautiful howl in the movie!
