9. Lost in Idaho

"Ugh..... my head....."
"Huh? Kate is that you??"
"Humphrey?! Wait.... Why is it dark??"
"I don't know.... The last thing I remember was you acting out of place and dancing around....."
"Oh... Um... was I dancing?? I don't remember anything either!!!!"
"Hold on.... There are holes here... Lemme just take a peak.... AAAAAH!"

Humphrey saw that they were being transported in a human's truck and they were trapped in a cage. "Ohh no this is bad! Kate! We've been wolfnapped!!!", Humphrey freaked out. "Noooo it can't be!", Kate cried. "Point is-where are we going??", Humphrey asked. "Uh... I-I don't know.... are they gonna kill us....?", Kate asked, frightened to death.

The truck suddenly halted and the two men came out. They lifted Kate and Humphrey's cages and put them on the ground. "Okay. Set 'em free!",one of the men said, and opened the door of the cages. "RUN!", Humphrey said as he and Kate jumped out and ran as far as they could into the wilderness. "Haha, look at 'em go!", the other man said.

After a while of running, Kate and Humphrey stopped to take a look around. "Its not that bad here.... Its just another park, I suppose", Humphrey said. "Are you kidding me!? We have to get home! Everyone would be so worried..... well for you at least...", Kate said.

"Let's just search someone who can help us out.... Hey. Hey. Hey! Look over there!", Humphrey said, pointing to two birds in the distance. "Hmmmm excuse me sirs?! Can I ask you something?". Humphrey went towards them. There was one Canadian goose and a yellow duck. What a wierd pair. The goose turned around. "WAAAAH PADDY! LOOK! ITS A WOLF!! FLY AWAY!!", It shouted. The duck responded, "Marcel, they don't seem dangerous, its ok!". Boy was he cool as a cucumber.

"Yeah we're not dangerous... we just need some help for directions....", Kate came up to them. "Ahhhh.... What a pretty lady you got there, mister", Marcel nudged Humphrey. "She-shes not my girlfriend....", Humphrey said, embarrassed. "But I didn't say she was, my friend!", Marcel trolled him. Kate giggled at that.

'Real funny, goose....', Humphrey thought. "You remind me of the previous pair of wolves that were captivated and sent here....", Paddy said. "Wait what? Sent here?? Where there other wolves before us?", Kate asked, hoping she wouldn't be killed. "Yes, ma'am. You see, every year the humans who own this park bring a pair of wolves to.......... repopulate!", Paddy explained. "AAAH??!", Humphrey said, shocked like as if he saw a ghost. Kate just stared at the two birds dumbfounded.

"Repopulate? Why?", Kate asked. "To save the species of wolves so they don't get extinct some day!", Paddy said. "Oh no.... this is bad...", Humphrey said. "We have to get home to Jasper Park, Canada. Do you know how to get there?" "Of course! We migrate over the years, so we are good in directions!", Marcel said to the two wolves.
