5. Hunting caribou

One afternoon, Humphrey and his gang went hunting for caribou in the valley. Little did they know, that they were being followed by two wolf sisters.
"Kate, why are we out here? We've been walking for so many minutes!" Lilly asked Kate, panting as she quietly tiptoed behind her. "Shhh Lilly, be quiet! Humphrey might hear us!" Kate snapped. Lily only rolled her eyes. "So, you're stalking him again?" Lilly said, unamused. "....no... I mean... Yeah... Sort of... "Kate replied. "Kate, you know that stalking isn't gonna help... It will just make Humphrey think you're creepy... "Lilly said. Kate said to her, "Oh come on, it won't just as long as he doesn't see us... ". "Well if he does, then I'll say,'It wasn't my idea! It was hers!!!' ". Kate ignored her as she crept forward in the grass to get a closer view of Humphrey.
"Hahah! Okay, guys! Let's get that caribou... ", Humphrey said to his friends. They were camouflaged in the grass. "Let's move!" He ordered like a boss. Humphrey was too loud and the caribou heard him. They started a stampede and ran as far from the source of the voice. "Now look what you did, Humphrey... "Salty said in a teasing voice. Humphrey felt a little embarrassed as Kate giggled. They all ran behind the caribou, chasing it. "Come on Kate, they're moving ahead! We better catch up with them before you miss Humphrey in action!" Lilly shouted as she chased the 4 wolves, who were after the caribou. "Hey! Lilly, don't leave me behind!" Kate said as she ran behind Lilly.
"Guys! Its getting away!!" Shaky screamed. But it was too late. The caribou had already made its escape. "Dude... Does this mean we will have to wait for some other prey to show up...?". "Maybe... "Mooch said, disappointed. "And its all your fault in the first place, Humphrey!" Shaky snarled. "Guys!!!! Seriously, its not like I'll get a good shot every single time." Humphrey sadly said to them. "I guess we will be starving again... "Salty said, sitting and scratching behind his ears by using his foot. "We can't return emptyhanded.. "They all looked around for any traces of available prey.
"Lilly, I think we can help them... "Kate said. "And how do you think we can do that, lover girl?! We are just 2 omegas. We won't be any match for a huge caribou." "Maybe your right... ". "I know! How about I get some help? Stay here, Kate! I'll be back!" Lilly said as she ran away. "I wonder who she would get... "Kate walked around, ignoring Lilly's request to stay put.
After a while of walking and searching for food, Kate picked up a rare scent. "Hm.... *sniff sniff*.... That's not common. I'll check out whose sent it is... "Kate said. She sniffed at the ground and in the air, walking a little distance. Suddenly, she spotted a dead caribou a few feet away from her. "Aha.... Perfect!" She said. Kate thought that she could take this caribou home and feed the pack with this. "It might take a little strength to drag it all the way back, but I must hurry before evening... "Kate said to herself. She opened her mouth wide and grabbed the caribou in her jaws and started dragging it. "Damn... Its so heavy.... What did he used to eat before he died......." She slowly pulled it towards the outskirts of the unknown area. She had never been in this place before, so she wanted to get out of there quickly.
"HEY!!!!! STOP RIGHT, THERE INTRUDER!!!!" A voice shot out from within the woods. Kate stopped dead in her tracks, trembling as she realised she actually trespassed a wolf territory.
"Someone please, help.... "Kate yelped under her breath.
