Jacob just finished ordering. He ordered Aunt Merry's famous Southern Fried Chicken for him and Fingers in a basket for Sophia. The 'forced' teen waiter acted so annoying, as if the customers were trash, still worth to forgive, the food tasted perfecto.
The waiter left the table long ago, Jacob waited for a pretty long time. At first Jacob thought it was only his feelings, but after seeing many customers come and go away and the meals are already at the table, he knew something wasn't just right. Something popped up in his brain, something that maybe, just maybe, could help a life in need. It was about Sophia, what if he was treated like before, or worse?
Jacob was confused what to do, he looked out the window, he saw two starving people. He quickly asked to take the food away, put it in a box or something. He went outside and gave it to them and headed to Sophia's house.
Not even quarterway, he thought, wouldn't he want to help Sophia? She needs rights, if it is, what her dad is doing, proven guilty. Will his dad be proven guilty if there isn't a single proof? Will the police even try to believe if he talks, without pictures or photos at least? He needed proof, a camera to take pictures and a notebook to write what were his words.
He headed back home, which spent more time, more precious time. He took his pocket camera and notebook and rushed back on track.
He was running pretty much like a freak. He was panicking but also calm, he ran so -- so messed up. He had to pass the diner again, but seeing those starving people eating so tasty made his night, although not long after he began thinking again about Sophia.
He finally reached her house, he couldn't get too close. And just like what happened before, the window blinds were opened wide. As if her dad wants to get arrested for child abuse, it just didn't make any sense.
He could see her dad beating Sophia, making her frail and weak, to make her do what he wanted. Jacob took his camera out and took a couple of pictures, he then stopped. He was acting idiotic, he thought that 'you're just the same with a photographer that takes pictures while its object is dying, what are you? You just met her?' He knew he had to hold it, he just can't genuinely smash the door and fight Arthur, It'll just be idiotic and worse.
He took out his notebooks and wrote their conversation. Just hearing his evil words made him cry, tear drops gradually falls to the notebook.
His sight moved to her house. There was a huge shout. He could see Sophia being forced to go out from the room and turned off the lights. This was more than he'd knew. All along he only knew that Sophia was only being abused physically, but it seems it was more -- more serious, more dangerous than that. His head hurts just thinking about it. If only her Grandma and aunt just stayed for another day, none of this would happen, none. Period.
It now became a sort of their fault. But it can't be, they didn't know about her problems, they just did what normal people would've done, go home and do your activities. Why the hell would someone ask, "hey, does your dad rape you until you're pregnant?" Even someone lunatic wouldn't say that. So he guessed it wasn't pretty much their fault.
Sophia's? You wish. Though without her living in this world her dad wouldn't get sins, but can she choose to live? He bet that Sophia will choose to never live if it was that way.
Was it her dad's? Might've been. But again, is it purely controlled by him? Maybe he has some kind of trauma or some kind of mental disorder that'll control him in some way. So it could or not could be his fault. Depends.
"So who's fault was it? The short answer is I don't give a damn. Who am I to know? Don't think of the unuseful things, but think of what'll help her and how to get enough proof." Jacob thought.
