But that's the thing about love -- it's unexpected.

Jacob just stood there, staring straight towards the door, what did he do this time? He just literally stared there for a very long time, until his father came, touching his shoulders.

"Hey." He said, "you didn't do anything bad, girls, you know."

"Well, I feel bad." Jacob replied.

"You like her." Dad said, smiling.

"How do you know when somebody likes a person?" Jacob asked, he was now more open to his dad, better than before.

"I don't know, you just feel it, I guess." Dad said.

"Well, how 'bout you and mom, how do you know that you liked her?" Jacob asked.

"Um," Dad said confused, "So we were in this park, the park near here, bardstown park, If I'm not mistaken." He stopped for a while.

"Then?" Said Jacob curiously.

"It was winter, this month, we just saw each other, then we somehow connected, we kissed, the butterflies and leaves started surrounding us, it felt magical, somehow." Dad said, he was touched by what he just said.

"I've never kissed before, not in the lips." Jacob said, "I don't even know whether I like her or not."

"Do you care for her?" Dad said, "Do you feel something when you see her face? If so, you maybe into her."

"Well I guess." He replied short.

Dad took a really deep breath.

"Go to the park, calm yourself." He sighed.

Jacob smiled towards dad, dad smiled back. They felt chemistry that hasn't existed for a very long time. They went close, they hugged, for a while.

"Bye dad!" Shouted Jacob while running towards the door.

Dad waved his hands towards Jacob.

Jacob went outside, he used his jet black boots. He decided to just walk, he was too lazy to ride his bike.

He walked the long road, with green trees in the corners of the roads. The beautiful sunflower smell occupied the atmosphere. The clouds started gathering up, snow was about to come down, at last.

The weather was chilling, it was around 65 farenheit. Jacob walked in the promenade using a beautiful black coat. In his head, a winter hat, his hands in the pockets of his coat, he walked in style.

The winds were blowing, the leaves started falling, newspapers flying everywhere, seeds went all over the ground. It seemed indeed, magical, as if some magical creature was about to come. You could hear the birds singing a beautiful melody, the butterflies flying together, which was very odd.

He was nearing the park, he just needed to take a left turn. He reached the park with an hour to spare before dawn. He sat in a bench, with a large evergreen tree in the back, and facing the promenade, there was a very romantic bridge in front, he could see people kissing, giving their partners chocolate. It was a very romantic bridge, everyone was with a partner, whereas he wasn't.

He began thinking; he shouldn't say things like that to Sophia, in front of her. He knew if he was Sophia, he would've done the same, nobody likes when anyone brings up their problems, especially their life problems.

As the day became darker, the temperature began dropping, even more. It made it even colder. Jacob starting rubbing his hands, an attempt to warm things up. His head was facing towards the ground, snow was starting to fall down. Jacob figured out that it was the first day of snow. He could hear the carollers singing 'God rest ye merry gentlemen'. The atmosphere was getting surreal, magical vibes.

Suddenly Jacob noticed somebody sitting, in the edge of the bench. He looked towards the person. She was irrecognizable, she wore a long wool peacoat with white winter gloves and a black winter hat, her blonde hair made it pop. She looked lonely, she looked not really Sophia-ish.

She didn't notice Jacob, she was too bored to notice him. She stood up, heading towards the bridge with a small lake beneath it. The sun started to set.

Jacob's guts somehow forced him to go there. He stood up, he silently stood beside Sophia in the bridge.

Suddenly Sophia noticed him, at last. Jacob didn't look back at her.

"Jacob?" Sophia said in a silent voice, with carollers being their background music.

Jacob quickly turned his head, facing Sophia. Sophia took a really deap breath.

"Um, I'm- I'm really sorry for leaving your house before." Sophia said, holding her hands together and biting her lips.

Jacob didn't say a thing, he looked at her for a while, thinking what to say, what to do.

Jacob quickly grabbed her shoulders, getting her close to him. He didnt say a word.

They kissed.

The butterflies and leaves started to surround them, just what dad had said.

Sophia became suprised, many pieces of memory started coming back to Sophia, including the poem.

"Your eyes light up,"

"My heart embers, just seeing it." Continued Jacob.

"I'd drop by to say hello." Sophia said.

"To see those beautiful,"

"Blue-green eyes." They said together.

"You're the one, that I've been looking for so long!" Sophia gasped.

"I told you, 'by nobody', it's all just nobody's inagination". Jacob replied.

"I've never expected this." Sophia said, dragging Jacob closer to her, again.

"But that's the thing about love -- it's unexpected." Jacob whispered.

They kissed, again.

They kissed, the sun was setting just by the end of the bridge, they became a kissing silhoette with butterflies and leaves, circling them. It was indeed, magical.

People were amazed, they've never seen anything like that. It seemed God wanted to help, He sent an angel, Sophia.

All the sad rainy days were over, a new day has come. All the days crying in the room was over, a new day has come. Everything sad was over, because a new day has come.

"Thanks." Jacob said.

Sophia smiled, she was glad, glad that all the sad days were over, were burnt. She never expected it, but again, that's the thing about love -- it's unexpected, which made it even more romantic.

Snow was coming down even heavier.

He reached home by night. He looked all dreamy. His parents looked at him, confused.

"What happened Jake?" Mom said.

"Oh nothing." He said, his eyes still dreamy, he continued walking upstairs.

"Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" Dad asked mom.

She raised her brows, "I do." She smiled, "he's know all grown up, so proud.

"Me too, a proud papa." Dad replied.

Jacob went to his bedroom and lied in bed, his heart was full of flowers.

He can't believe it.
