The Boy With Blue Eyes

Part 8

Devan and I were driving through the city and over near the beach.

We found a place to park and went down to the beach a found a place to put the blankets and food that Devan had packed.

We sat down and just talked for a while.

We ate the food after a little while and when it got dark we wrapped up in blankets.

The stars started to come out and when they did it was almost impossible to look away.

Devan had moved over and I was now leaning against his chest.

I glanced over at Devan and I saw that he was looking at me with a smile on his face.

"What?" I asked him.

"Its really good to see you smiling." He replied.

I felt myself starting to blush a little as I gazed into his deep blue eyes. 

He leaned closer and he said "I love you."

Our lips met and he put his hand on the back of my head and ran his fingers through my hair.

As we embraced, above us shooting stars had started to appear.

We broke apart and gazed up at the sky above.

"Make a wish." Devan said.

I looked up at the stars and closed my eyes as I made my wish.

"What did you wish for?" Devan asked.

"You" I told him.

He smiled and held me closer.

We stayed there for a few hours, just watching the sky and occasionally talked about whatever was on our minds.

It was almost midnight by the time we got back to the house.

I said goodnight to him and went up to my room.

I was just about to jump in my bed when I noticed a bouquet of red roses on my pillow.

I smiled when I saw a note that said:
Tonight I'll fall asleep with my head in the stars and my heart with yours ~ Dev

I held the note in my hands as I fell asleep dreaming about the magical night I had.
