School was out and we graduated!

The last few weeks have been super stressful because of school.

To celebrate being done, Devan said he would take me on a date to the beach.

On the morning of the date, I woke up at 9, which have me 8 hours until Devan wanted us to leave.

I showered, put my hair in two dutch braids, and wore a pair of ripped skinny jeans and a white shirt.

I also had a pair of black flats and a gold necklace to finish my outfit. I had neutral makeup on.

While I was waiting for it to be time to leave, l turned on the tv and laid on the couch.

After a little while I got up and grabbed an apple and went outside.

I decided to walk over to the park were Devan said he was meeting me.

When I got there, Devan wasn't there yet so I had a bit before we needed to leave.

I leaned up against a tree and closed my eyes as I listened to the breeze rustle the leaves above me.

For the first time in months, I felt completely at peace.

I was still struggling with the loss of my mom but that was getting better each day, I have a boyfriend that loves me like no other, I graduated high school, and I have a really cool 'family' because Steve and Anne (the key bros parents) sort of adopted me when my mom died and since my dad doesn't want me, they're my 'parents'.

While I was sitting there, Devan managed to sneak up behind me.

He wrapped his arms around me and when I turned my head to look at him, he planted a kiss on my lips.

I smiled as I asked him, "What was that for?"

He looked at me innocently and said, "Do I need a reason to love you?"

I smiled and said in a sassy way, "Yes. Yes you do."

He looked at me dead in the eyes and said, "You are the most beautiful girl I have ever seen. Your eyes sparkle and when you smile no one else can help but to smile too. What else can I say except that I love you."

I was not expecting him to say any of that so when he did, I was overcome with so much happiness that my eyes teared up.

I didn't know how to respond to him.

He smiled in a happy sort of way. "Lets get going so we can have a longer time together" Devan said.

I nodded, still unable to say anything.

We started to walk down the street, hand in hand and not saying anything.

We reached a resturant that had just been built and neither of us had been to it before.

We waited a while to be seated and then we were taken to a booth.

The restaurant was pretty and decorated with a modern theme.

It had black, gray, white, and a few accent colors like teal and orange.

We ordered our food and we were waiting for it to arrive.

"So how would you like to go down to the beach tonight? It been a long time since we've been down there." Devan asked.

"Sure, I'd like to do that. Can you believe that we're finally done with school? So much happened this year."

"I know. I'm so glad it's finally over. Besides, now we can spend more time together."

While we were talking, our food arrived.

We started to talk and eat, planning what we would do when we got back to the house.
