Part 4

When I woke up the next morning I laid in bed for a minute but hopped out of bed when I realized how hungry I was.

I put my hair in a messy bun and went downstairs to get something to eat.

My mom was down there already and I told her all about the amazing night I had last night.

She told me, "Honey I'm so happy for you! Devan is the perfect boy for you. I have some news of my own too. So you know how I will be flying to New York for my job, Im leaving for that in just a second. I should be back in a few weeks. You'll be here alone, but if you have any problems just go over to the Key's house. And I'll be calling every night just to check in. I need to leave now if I want to catch my flight. I love you honey!"

"I love you mom! I'll see you in a few weeks."

I gave her a hug and she went out the door and left to go to the airport.

My mom goes on work trips a lot, so to have her leave so suddenly like that wasn't a huge deal.

I decided to go over to Devans house and see what was happening over there.

As I got near their house, I could hear yelling and laughing coming from the backyard.

I went back there to find Collins and Devan in the middle of making a new youtube video.

They were attempting to make fluffy slime and by the looks of it, there was more slime on them than there was in the container.

"Oh... hey y/n... What are you doing here?" Devan tried to act normal but failed horribly.

"Guys what are you doing?" I asked in disbelief.

"Um, well, we were trying to make fluffy slime but then Collins decided to see how fluffy it would make my hair and then I had to get him back and then this kinda happened..." Devan said laughing.

"I can't believe you guys! Actually, wait, take that back, yes I can. This is totally something that you guys might do. Well just so you know, my mom is going to be gone in New York for a few weeks and that if I have any problems to come over here." I told them.

"You know if you wanted to just stay here, you could grab clothes and sleeping stuff and stay in the guest bedroom so your not alone at your house."

Devan said. "Our parents would be fine with you staying here. You know how much they love you."

"If your sure that it wouldn't be too much trouble or that im not going to be in the way, then I would like to stay here."

"Trust me, you won't be in the way. And besides, my mom will love to have more company than just a bunch of guys. I'll go tell my mom and you can go grab your stuff and then come back here."

Devan ran inside to go tell his mom I was staying there.

I went back to my house to get all my stuff together.

By the time I had gotten back to Devan's house, he had taken a shower and gotten all the slime off of him.

He showed me up to the guest bedroom and I put everything away and got settled in.

I checked my phone and saw that I had gotten a text from my mom that said:

Hi Honey! Just boarded the plane and my flight will land in a few hours. I'll text you when I get to my hotel. I love you!

I wrote her back and said:

I am going to stay at the Key's house until you get back. Didn't want to be alone at our house. I'll wait for you to text. I love you too!

I went back downstairs and sat on the couch to watch tv with Collins and Devan.
