Chapter 11

Lance's pov

Keith came back with Mariana in a much better mood than when they left "Mari, go do your school work" I tell her as I sit on the couch "Ugh do I have to" she complained "Yes" I told her as she walked to her room "That was a bit harsh" Keith said "Keith?" I say sadly, then I pull him onto my lap "Hey so I called my Mom back" I start "And I told her that if she couldnt accept us then she'll never see me or Mariana again" I could feel his shakey breath as I said those words "You didnt have to do that" he wispered, I reply with a quick "Yes, I did" which caused him to turn his head and look at me "But.." I shake my head "No buts, and dont think that I didnt have to do it, I did put off telling my mom about my sexuality for years, I knew she would react that way and I was scared." I pause as I feel tears stream down my face "But I'm not amymore, so dont listen to a word she says. Okay?" he nods and snuggles into my shoulder and falls asleep just like that I soon follow after.

I wake up on the floor and Keith is spyraled out on the couch, I decide to move him to a comfy bed. I couldn't get back to sleep. I decided to call and see if the hopital needed anyone for a shift. I was on my way out the door when I remeberd I should leave a note. I went to the kitchen and saw the rose's keith got for the apartment and grabbed one.

Keith's pov

I woke up around ten in the morning with no lance beside me I started to panic till I noticed a red rose on the dresser, I picked up the rose and note "My dearest Keith I hope you slept well, I couldnt sleep so I decided to pick up a extra shift at the hospital. I'll be home by noon. love, Lance" awe hes so sweet. As I'm makeing brunch Mariana walks into the kitchen "Hey kid whats up" I say keeping my eyes on the bacon "Oh nothing" she mummbles, we stayed in a comfortable silence till brunch was eaten "Keith?" I hum letting her know I'm listening "Are you going to leave" I looked up as soon as I heared her words "What? honey what do you mean, I'm not going anywhere. your stuck with me" I say sincery "Promise" her voice breakes and she starts to cry "I Promise" I say. I get up and hug her and I start to hum and sway. "Fergalicious def- fergilicious definition make them boys go loco" I hear my phone go off " I should cange that" I said. Mari giggled and left the room to go work on her homework as I anwer "Hello?" I hear "Lance where are you? you said, you would be home at noon" I snap at him "Sorry, I know I said that but a few errends came up. I'm sorry I won't be back till tomorrow " I make a confused face "Lance. Can't you do them later and why would it take you that long" I say "Weeeeeeeeeeelllll, the thing is Pidge asked me to help her with a few things and it'll take all night and I work tomorrow morning" he explained with worry in his voice "Okay bye" I say hanging up the phone not giveing him a chance to say good bye. I imediately call pidge "Hello?" I hear her say "Is Lance really helping you out, I know I'm sounding jello and I shouldnt be but" I was cut off "Yes he is, He's right here if you want to talk to him" she calmly said disregarding my jealousness "Yes that would be great" I reply "Hello?Keith, I thought I just talked to you on the phone" I smiled knowing he wasnt lying "Ya I know but I forgot to say something" he hums in response "I love you" I say for the first time. All of a suden crashes can be herd in the background on the phone "Lance? what happened?" I hear pidge laughing "Say it again" he damands "i-i love you lance" I say again "Keith, I love you too" and the phone call ended. Mariana walked out of her room "I'm going to my friends house" she said before walking out the door "What just happened?"

Lance's pov

After work I had planed to go straight home but changed my mind rembering there was somehting I still had to do, I drove to the pizzaria and walked in "Ding" the little bell went "Kolvan?" I ask "Huh oh Lance what can I do for you, the ususal?" he asked I shook my head "I suprizeingly didnt come here for the food but to ask you something" he raised a brow "Well dont just stand there spit it out my boy" I flinched a litle bit as he raised his voice "I uh well I came to ask for your permision to marry keith, old school I know but I wanted to ask because its important to me that your suportive about it, unlike my mother" I say and wisper the last part. I looked at my feet then up at the ceiling then at Kolvan "Of course" he said with the biggest smile ever and started to hug me "Your mother is missing out" he wipered in my ear "Thank you, well now all thats left is to ask Keith" I say nurviously, Kolvan slaps me on the back and tells me good luck as I leave, I text pidge telling her that we are all set to go this is going to be the best suprise ever. when I arive at the bar pidge reminds me that I should probably call keith. After the phone call ended sudenly. Pidge gets a call, I listen in. "Hello?" she says, after a few seconds I hear her interupt them and say "yes he is he's right here if you want to talk to him" she imideatey hands me the phone I look at the callers name 'jello shot' I imediately know it's Keith and say "Hello? Keith, I thought I just talked to you on the phone" I ask unsure as to why he wanted to talk to me, did he think I lied to him "Ya I know but I forgot to say something" I hum in response "I love you" he says for the first time, omg omg omg thats the frist time hes said that. I know Keith and it's hard for him to open up and for him to become attached he even told me he probably wouldnt say it and it's been almost a year after we met and he said it, I didnt think he would till I proposed. I was so shocked I fell off of the stage. Pidge started to laugh "Lance? What happend?" I hear him ask "Say it again" I demanded "i-i love you" Pidge comes up to me and wisper we have things to do so I say   "Keith, I love you too" and hang up
