Chapter 2

Lance's P.O.V

I look around the small two-bedroom apartment filled with boxes as we unpack "Ah isn't it nice here sweetie?" I ask Mariana because she hasn't spoken much "uhuh" she replies with a depressed tone. I guess there's no helping it "BAM!!!!!!!!!" I jump at the sudden noise and look to make sure Mari is ok "Son of a bitch never come back" an unknown woman yells "Mariana go to your room I'll come meet you there soon" I said as calmly as possible, the fear on her face is evident but she nods and runs to her room once her door is closed I open the door into the hallway to see a beautiful young woman on the ground crying her eyes out as I walk closer I see bruises "Miss are you ok" she looks up at me in fear then realizes I'm not of any harm to her "Hey the names lance" I say "It's Allura" she whispers "Ah Allura what a pretty name" I sigh as I sit next to her on the floor "Who was the guy?" I ask even though I have no right asking questions seeing as I just meet her "Lotor my abusive husband and bar owner even though he hasn't worked a day in 8 years I've been doing all the damn work" she whispers very angry "Oh" is all I could say as I processed the info "You don't have to worry I'm getting a divorce actually that's why I moved in here and why he came, he didn't want to lose me, he should have thought about that before he hit me I'm just glad we never had any kids" she finally said calmly and clearly. suddenly I hear a faint "Papa" with a shaky voice "Mariana its ok you can come out now and Papa's ok no need to worry" as soon as she heard my response she came out behind the door to our apartment "Awe well aren't you adorable whats your name?" Allura asked as soon as she saw Mari, I look at her giving a nod as I saw the look of her asking for permission to speak "I'm M- M- Mariana McLain Miss" she replies stuttering at the beginning " what a pretty name I have a pretty name too it's Allura" Allura gave off a calming aura as she chatted with Mari "Allura? what are you doing on the floor and who are these people" I turn my head to meet the eyes of the most beautiful human being ever, is this what people mean by star struck. "Lance" huh I come back to reality as I hear my name " I'm sorry what" I chuckled trying to brush off the rising heat to my face " I said your names lance right? lance McLain and I'm going to guess your daughter but could be little sister Mariana right?" Allura asks for clarifying that she didn't get her info wrong when answering the beautiful man's question as to who we are. I nod as I get up and walk over to Mari "Yup the names Lance McLain and this is my daughter Mariana McLain " I say answering Allura's uncertainty "Where's her mom" he asks, "Mari, we still have the stuff to do lets go" I say loud enough so the other two can hear.

Keith's P.O.V

I was walking back to my apartment building after doing some groceries shopping when I enter the building I go up 3 floors my apartment is on the 4 floor but I stop there seeing Mrs.Allura wait, she asked me to stop calling her that, I see Allura on the floor with two strangers I've never seen before but the man leaning on the wall was so mmmm damn good looking with his caramel tanned skin "Allura? what are you doing on the floor and who are these people?" I ask, as soon as the words left my mouth caramel candy looks at me and stares for like ever, I even forgot what Allura was saying as she got off the ground thank god he wasn't either  because he suddenly looks away from me and looks at Allura  " I'm sorry what?" he says looking confused "I said your names lance right? lance McLain and I'm going to guess your daughter but could be your little sister Mariana right?" Allura askes caramel candy I uh mean Lance for clarification he nods but doesn't answer her last question as he stands up and walks over to the little girl who looks about Eight, she's so small  " Yup the names Lance McLain and this is my daughter Mariana McLain" he says I feel  little disappointed, damn he's married why is it always the hot ones, I'm so caught up in my disappointment I ask the stupidest question "Where's her mom?" at first I didn't even think before the words left my mouth but as soon as they left there was no stopping the effect they had on Lance, I saw him visibly flinch at my words and his face filled with sorrow as did his daughter's, he says with sadness and pain in his voice it almost sounds like he's about to cry "Mari we still have stuff to do lets go" and they walk away into an apartment I just remember the people who lived there moved out no wonder I don't know them they just moved in "God Keith why did you say that" I flinch at Allura harsh tone "I don't know" I stutter out "The fuck did you just stutter?" huh I did I haven't done that in years, "Allura tell me quick why are your eyes red and puffy" she gasps at my comment "Oh no reason just crying" I glare a her obviously not believing her story "Fine Lotor came back we got into another fight about the divorce, I was crying when Lance came out to make sure everything was ok I'm guessing it was Lotor slamming the door that got his daughter so scared and the reason he came looking" she says really fast but I still understood every word "Okay go call the lawers and tell them what happened it will just help he divorce move faster. I'm going to go apologize" I huff in annoyance Allura was kinda like a mother to me she was family and I couldn't stand to see her hurt so I convinced her after 8 years to leave that bastard "Okay " was the last thing she said before entering her apartment. Before I apologize to the McLain's I grab my phone and click call on the contact space dad "Hello? Keith whats up? I hear Shiro's voice boom through the phone "Lotor showed at Allura's again might want to make sure she's ok she doesn't look too bad just shaken up" I say calmly and then hear a click telling me he hung up Shiro has a boyfriend Matt but cares for Allura like a sister, well time to apologize, I say standing out front of their door and run my fingers through my hair and knock on the door.
