Eliza
Why does everything happen like this? It literally sucks. The guy I fell in love with is now dating another guy who used to be his best friend, and is having his worst enemy falling for him.
Yes, I see it. Jefferson might not realize it, but he's falling hard for Alexander. Even though I'm the only person that sees it, I can't help but feel bad for the poor guy. I'm jerked out of my thoughts when Peggy and Angelica run up to me giggling, Peggy in black jeans and a lighter grey top, while Angelica wears the same, only with a darker hued sweater.
"What is it, you guys?" Angelica grabs my hand, shoving me into the closet and speaking rapidly.
"Alright, honey, we're going out drinking tonight since- Oh, I dunno, reasons, with all of the guys," Guys? Does that include Alexander? "You know, Alex," Yes. "Laurens," Damn. "Laf, Hercules, Burr," We all gag at the same time. "and some other people, but, I mean, I think you get the point-"
Yeah, I get the damn point. We'll all go out to a bar tonight for no reason and get drunk, and I'll have to watch Alex and Laurens making out with each other or something. And have my heart broken all over again.
"Eliza?" I snap out of it and look back up to Angie.
"Hmm?"
"You alright?" This time Peggy looks worried, and she pulls me into a hug. I think she knows what I'm thinking. Angie realizes it too and her face falls.
"Oh, sorry. I mean, it's only for one night, and- We don't have to go.."
"No, no, it's fine, I'll manage." I squeak out, and her face lights up again. I'll manage to eat an entire fridge worth of chocolate and ice cream by the time this is over. Wait a minute.. Why's Peggy here? "Angelica." She turns back to face me.
"Hmm?"
"Why's Peggy here?" She looks over to Peggy and smirks.
"Yeah, what are you doing here? You're underage and we all know it." Peggy shrugs, dismissing the subject.
"Ehh, I have a fake id, I'll be fine." Angelica and I shoot each other worried glances. Why the hell does she have that?
Once I finish getting ready, the two shove me out into the hallway, running over to the boy's dorm area. The guys all step out, and my heart starts pounding when I see Alexander. His hair is pulled backed into a ponytail slash bun thingy, and he's wearing a simple black plaid top rolled up to his elbows with a bisexual pride bracelet on.
Ugh, I just wanna rip that rubber thing off and make him mine, not bisexual, not gay, but straight, and mine. But I'm innocent Eliza, I can't do that. My gaze follows his arm down to where he and Laurens are holding hands, and my mood darkens.
Angie, of course, squeals and runs up to the group of guys and starts singing, and soon they've all joined her. I guess I have to as well, even though I really don't feel like it.
Soon our whole group is singing at the top of our lungs as we make our way over to the cars, and I catch a glimpse of Alex laughing. Ugh, life is so unfair. Even though I am having fun, my chest aches whenever I glance over to Alexander. Peggy grabs my arm and shakes her head, forcing me to look over to her.
"Eliza, just sing. Alright? Forget about Alex, and just have fun tonight." I nod gratefully, and don't look over to him for the rest of the night. I simply try to have fun.
