Pulling the string of my bow back, I released my finger. Watching the arrow sail through the air, I sighed when the arrow hit straight into the fake body. I was currently in the training room for the soldier elves.

Going against what William wanted me to do, I decided I needed to train. It had been nearly a year since I could use my bow. Being injured meant others had to protect me but not anymore. I was going to show them that I was able to go straight to Toban and take back Aurora. If anyone tried to get in my way, I'd get rid of them too.

Pulling another arrow from the quiver, I aligned it up at the body. Gritting my teeth, I closed my eyes. Energy surged through my body, the feeling almost welcoming to me. Opening my eyes, I zeroed in on the area I wanted to hit.

"bel-." I whispered as my finger let go of the arrow. Hitting the target with a loud whistle, I watched the stuffed body burst into pieces. As soon as the arrow had it the body, it instantly exploded. Gazing at the falling hay, pain exploded in my mind.

Dropping the bow, I gripped my head. It felt like hot lava was being poured into my head. Falling to my knees a small scream fell from my lips.

Suddenly the pain vanished. Carefully opening my eyes, a small gasp left my lips. I wasn't in the elvish army training room anymore. Instead I stood in my old room back at the castle in Athena. Confused, I moved towards the window. Gazing outside, I noticed the moon big and red in the sky.

"So this is the red moon." I whispered.

Although it looked beautiful from where I stood, there was something almost dangerous about it. If what King Arod said was true, dark magic I would be a lot stronger tonight. But as I gazed at the moon, something seemed different. Birds were flying away from the area as if something had spooked them.

Frowning I moved towards the door but froze. Every muscle in my body went stiff as my heart stopped. Standing at the door with a big smirk on his face, was a living and breathing Markus. No... this wasn't the Markus I knew. The Markus I knew had tanned skin. The Markus in front of me had paler skin with red eyes. This wasn't the Markus I grew to know.

Gritting my teeth, I slid my hand down to my thigh only to feel nothing there. Frowning, I gazed down at where my dagger should be, to see nothing. Not even the strap was around my thigh. Gazing through my lashes up at Markus I noticed his smirk had grown. Replacing the smirk was a sickening glare. Placing his hands in his pockets, Markus walked towards me in a slow careful pace.

Stopping a few meters away from me, Markus kept a steady gaze on me. "It's good to see you again, Abagail." The smirk that once sent shivers of pleasure down my spine was back. Although in the past his very presence would set my hear on fire, now it only sent rage and anger coursing through my veins.

Clenching my hands, I watched him carefully. I didn't understand how I was here, but one wrong move and I'd end this. I was no longer afraid of him. He could no longer sway my heart anymore. Sitting down on my old bed in the Rider's quarters, his smirk once again vanished. His eyes glanced over my body before speaking.

"I see you have been healed." Tilting his head he continued. "I'm not sure how you managed that but don't worry, the Queen will find out and kill all those who helped you."

"Queen?" I whispered. There was no Queen to take William's mothers place that I knew of. That's when I remembered... Anna. Shocked I glared at him.

Nodding as if he read my mind, he stood. Taking in his appearance once again, I couldn't help but feel my heart spike. He wore a low cut white shirt with brown leather pants with black leather boots. Tilting my head I gazed at his neck. His rides mark was gone.
