"Tyler let me go." I've been struggling in Tyler's grip since Mike made his little speech. I was about to walk down the bleachers before Tyler grabbed me to sit on his lap. "No Lia. It's not worth it."

I look at Bryce and he is glaring at Mike on the gym floor. I see him cracking his knuckles without moving his eyes. "Let me just go punch him really quick." My friends have huddled around us as the whole gym is standing.

"Do you think I don't want to go fuck him up. I really do, but it might mess up the case." Thinking about the case calms me down a little. "How the hell is he even back?" Parker asks the question all of us wanted to know.

"Wait, where is Bryce?" We turn to see the previously occupied seat next to Tyler now empty. "Shit, there he is," Nova says pointing towards Bryce walking down the bleachers with his eyes focused on one person.

We instantly get up and start speed walking down the bleachers. As soon as he steps off the bleachers, the guys casually grab him and head towards the exit.

"I was just going to talk to him," Bryce says once the guys let him go. "Same," I say to Tyler. Tyler nods towards everyone to go calm Bryce down, while he talks to me.

"Lia, look at me." Tyler moves my back closer to the wall enclosing us in our own little bubble. "We've already beat his ass. You did too in the parking lot." He puts his fingers under my chin to lift my head up.

"Did I really?" I ask smiling at him. "Lia, you stopped his attack on you. I would say that's pretty bad ass." He leans forward and pecks me on the lips. "Promise me you will let the court take over." "I promise," I say kissing his lips again.

During our kiss, Tyler's phone goes off. "It could be important," I say against his lips. He loudly sighs and checks his phone. "Damn, Coach wants all the players to meet in the locker room." We turn around to see the guys looking at their phones.

"We must go when the coach calls," Drew says as if he is reading Shakespeare. "Meet you at lunch?" I nod, and Tyler quickly kisses me on the cheek before catching up with the guys.

"Feeling better?" Nova asks as my friends form a small circle around me. "Yeah, but I'm in need of a distraction. One I think Reid will like." I smile towards Reid and he just looks at me confused.

"What will I like?" I place my fingers on my chin as if I'm thinking hard. "Umm, I don't know. Is Bryan Reynolds a good distraction?" My friends confused expressions turn to happy ones within seconds.

"Hell yes, bitch!" Reid yells and we tell him to quiet down. "I have to go talk to Principal Bell, but tell me your plan during lunch." Reid nods and I give everyone a quick hug.

When I enter the school's front office, it goes completely quiet. Everyone is watching my every move. "Hello Mrs. George, is Principal Bell available?" She nervously smiles at me and tells me to wait a minute "Yes sir, sending her in now." I tell her thanks before walking towards Mr. Bell's office.

"I know Cahlia," is the first thing he says as I enter his office. "Great, so can you explain to me how is he here." I sit in one of the chairs in front of his desk. "Long story short, his parents threatened to sue the school board if we didn't allow him to come back. However, we've made it very clear that he is to stay away from you."

I sarcastically scoff. "You're telling me he assaults a student, and everything goes back to normal. I mean normal for him of course because he is still on the basketball team and shit."

"Cahlia!" I'm not sorry that I cussed. Our school system is complete bullshit. "You know what Principal Bell, I want to thank you for keeping my father's promise to keep me safe. You are doing such a good job." I walk out of his office and intentionally slam his office door on the way out. I walk past all the eyes staring at me with my head held high.
