King Dice quietly entered the casino, peering in and feeling overwhelmed by the silence. It appeared that he was early today. Even the Devil seemed absent from the casino at this time.

Despite the sound of his shoes across the flooring, the casino was silent. Unusually silent. Of course, it wasn't quite opening time. Dice adjusted his bow tie, cautiously peeking about the casino.

A low growl emanated from an unknown source behind him, making him stop and spin to see who was stalking about. He didn't see anybody. He blinked, letting out a soft breath of relief. It's just his mind playing tricks on him, that's all. He turned back to start walking again, before being forcefully pushed up against the nearest wall with a yelp.

The clawed hand on the wall beside him tapped it softly as Dice looked up to see the Devil looming over him. He growled his tail twitching behind him.

"Boss," Dice said after a few moments, almost afraid of what was to come of this. He shifted uncomfortably under the Devil's gaze. "What are you doing...?"

The Devil said nothing for a moment, his eyes just glimmering in the darkness of the casino. "You left a bit abruptly yesterday."

"I was just..." He tried to search for a better excuse, his eyes scanning over the floor. "I wasn't..."

The Devil shook his head, putting his hand under Dice's chin and lifting his head so he'd look at him. "You never gave me a chance to answer yesterday, you know."

King Dice sucked in a breath, prepared to be disappointed in his choice of words last night. He'd probably just be turned down, like time and time again. "You don't have to if you'd rather not."

The Devil cocked a brow at him, his lips pulling back a little to reveal his shiny white teeth. He growled again, the same growl from earlier, but it was a bit softer. He saw Dice panic a little, his pupils narrowing. "But- what if I told you good news?" The Devil asked a bit quizzically.

"...What?" Dice blinked, swallowing. He didn't really mean it, did he? Then again, good news for the Devil isn't always good news.

"You never let me answer yesterday." The Devil started, holding a finger to Dice's mouth as he went to interject to hush him. "You left too soon to hear me say yes."
