Dice left the Casino as soon as his shift was over, he never bothered the night shift. Those people had their place, and he had his. Besides, the people who hung around at night were... Interesting. He huffed softly, tugging on his clothes to make himself more comfortable.
The thoughts of a warm house and a few drinks sounded delightful, considering the fairly late hour. He rarely drank at all at the casino. For obvious reasons- the Devil was an ass, being one. He did admire his boss dearly, but he was truly a nasty trickster. Like any good employee, he never said he hated his boss; nor did he ever hate him in the first place.
He dusted off his sleeve as he sauntered from the place, sighing and rubbing his eyes for a moment. It wasn't really his tiredness either, it was just staring at cards so long in dim light. All the whites, and reds, and blacks. It was slightly maddening, but he didn't hate it. It was pleasant.
Suddenly his vision was met with the sky as his head was pulled from his shoulders. He shrieked, his body panicking as he tried to grab for his lost head.
He felt something tickle the top of his head.
"Oh," he began, a lazy smile making its way onto his face. "hi, Boss."
"Leaving so soon?" The Devil chuckled, holding Dice's head in his hands in that waitress-tray manner. Like the skull in a cliché Shakespeare play of Hamlet. "I thought you'd stick around. Tired of me, perhaps?"
"Tired of workin' I do reckon." His body was still lost, he couldn't see it so it was just grabbing at air. "...Can I have my head back, please?"
"Why?" The Devil asked teasingly, before begrudgingly handing his head back to his body.
"Thanks." He murmured, placing his head on his shoulders and adjusting himself right. He brushed nothing off of his shoulder, just to stall the Devil. "Do I need to ask you if I can leave now?"
"Nonsense!" The Devil slithered up beside him, resting a clawed hand on one of his shoulders and baring his teeth in a wicked- yet inviting- smile. "I'd just enjoy it if you stayed."
"Aw, do you miss me when I go?" Dice smirked, standing with perfect posture. Yet, the Devil still towered over him.
"Hm, maybe." The Devil grumbled, his tail flicking over the ground. "Come on. Just one game."
"Fine. Fine. Anything for you, boss." Dice sarcastically spoke, a smile on his face. The Devil knew he was joking. "Just no dares. Got it?"
"I swear, nothing drastic will happen." The Devil rolled his eyes, leading himself and Dice back towards the building. "Drama queen."
"Am not." Dice gasped.
"Are too."
