A Grassy Plain
Norway

Loki opened the doors of the JumpShip and felt like a complete idiot.

How could he leave his brother behind after everything that had happened the past couples days, scratch that, the past couple of centuries. Thor had wanted him to escape, had wanted him to protect their people with Valkyrie and Korg but Loki was no king, he knew that now. He had done a pretty shitty job of it back on Asgard. Not that anybody really cared. Loki was pretty positive half the people of Asgard knew Odin wasn't "himself" but decided not to question it. And now, now Thor might be dead. Nobody could survive an explosion like that. Even Loki had seen it from half a lightyear away. Thor may be a god but even gods can die.

"Loki!" Valkyrie shouted, snapping her fingers in front of his face. "Where's your brother?" Everyone was already beginning to wander around the green, grassy plains, talking amongst each other quietly, surveying earth. It was a weird sight to see. The last time Loki had been here, he had tried taking over the world.

"Dead probably." Loki said, not meaning to sound heartless.

"What did you do?" Valkyrie demanded, shoving him a little. "What happened?"

"You weren't there okay! I tried. I begged him to come with me. But he had to be all heroic and try to stop Thanos by himself..." Loki stopped and shook his head. He was done explaining himself, done being the bad guy. Valkyrie wouldn't believe him. She would call him a traitor, a killer. She would say he just wanted to be king of Asgard but there was no Asgard and there was point in being king if his brother wasn't around to fight him for it. Valkyrie looked around. There were even less Asgardians than before. Hella had really done a number on their people and the arrival of Thanos didn't help.

"What are we supposed to do?" Valkyrie asked. She had never been to Earth before and so far, she didn't like it. There wasn't much to see. That wasn't what Loki expected her to say. He expected her to ask more questions, demand to know what happened to Thor but she could see in his eyes that Loki didn't want to talk about it. She may have a hard heart but she wasn't that cruel.

"I have to find the Avengers."

"The who?" Valkyrie asked. It was the second dumbest team name she had heard.

"The Avengers, though they're not going to be to happy to see me. Last time I was here I tried to conquer the entire world." Valkyrie scoffed.

"Why am I not surprised?" Loki shook his head and looked around at his people. What would happen to them now? Everyone was standing around on the cliff, touching the grass, feeling the breeze on their skin but nobody looked as calm or as peaceful as this landscape did. Everyone was agitated, on edge.

"So what's the plan?" Korg asked, coming up to the two of them.

"Loki's going to contact the people who stopped him from conquering Midgard."

"Oh I'm sure they'll be very happy to see that Loki's not so bad anymore." Korg said, hitting Loki's shoulder pretty hard and nearly making him fall over. Loki touched his shoulder with a slight frown, thinking about what to do next.

"It's going to be hard though. I don't exactly know how to get to them." Loki thought for a minute. "Maybe I should mildly destroy a building or something to get their attention." Though, with not much in sight, Loki wasn't sure how he could do that.
