The Soul Stone Alter
Planet Vormir
Gamora stood on the bleak and desolate looking planet and thought only of her sister. She thought of their last conversation before today where she had begged Nebula to reconsider going after their father. She told her that she could travel the Galaxy with the Guardians and visits peaceful planets and know the meaning of the word rest. But Nebula had refused. Not because she didn't want any of that, a peaceful life, adoring fans, and a place among friends, but because her thirst for revenge was greater than her need for safety. Their father had taken everything from Nebula, piece by piece and she would be damned if she didn't somehow make him feel the same way.
But when she finally was able to sneak aboard their fathers ship, she found out something horrible. Thanos had just decimated the planet Nova and had taken the Power Infinity Stone that they had been safe guarding. Nebula knew that with one Infinity Stone in his gauntlet, he was already one of the most powerful beings in the universe and with all five he would be absolutely unstoppable. That's why she knew she and to strike before Thanos could get the rest of them. But even though she was fueled by rage and anger and hatred, Thanos still best her and locked her up in one of his many torture chambers. Nebula thought he might kill her but then she realized that she was a bargaining chip for Gamora and as she was pulled apart at the seams, Nebula could only hope that her sister hadn't gone soft enough to give Thanos what he wanted just because he was hurting her.
But Gamora couldn't help herself. She had just gotten her sister back and when she had gone dark for nearly a month, Gamora had expected the worse, that their father had killed her and that Gamora would be next. So when she saw Nebula and saw what Thanos had done, she palaces with him, begging him to stop what he was doing because she had no idea where the Soul Stone was. But Thanos, Nebula, Gamora and even the lackey soldier sitting behind the computer as he tortured Nebula knew that this was a lie. Gamora knew where the Soul Stone was and Thanos knew how to get its location out of her. And sure enough, here the two of them were, on Planet Vormir ready to take the Stone.
"Where is it?" Thanos asked as Gamora began to steadily walk towards the large mountain in the distance.
"Up there." Gamora said, keeping her eyes straight ahead.
"If you're lying again..."
"Then you can kill me." Gamora interrupted before picking up speed the wind was whipping around her hair and gave her the chills. She hoped that wherever the Guardians were they were safe. She hoped that Peter was being productive and trying to find a way to rescue her instead of sitting around moping. Knowing Peter though, it might just be the later. Gamora just hoped that Thanos would keep her alive long enough for Peter to get his head out of his ass and find her.
At the top of the mountain, the wind only became harsher and now, small sharp stones were being throw at them from different directions, almost as if the Planet knew that they were after the Soul Stone and wanted to stop them before they could reach it. Gamora had never actually seen the Stone herself. She had just seen the map on where the Stone was and burned it before anyone else could learn of its whereabouts. Gamora just hoped her intel had been correct and her reading of the map accurate because if the Soul Stone wasn't here... Gamora wasn't sure what Thanos would do to her.
Suddenly, a dark aspiration started to move towards them Gamora stopped in her tracks, stunned. She hadn't known someone would be here Vormir was virtually uninhabitable. Thanos moved in front of Gamora, ready to fight the creature if necessary but it simply stopped and stood in front of them, it's dark hood drawn so far forward that you couldn't see their face. "What is it you seek?" They finally asked. Thanos glanced back at Gamora before saying.
