The whole weekend I couldn't stop wondering if I should've kissed Jay Blue. It seemed to good to be true; we never fully had a conversation. Besides, what does this make us? I really like Jay Blue but I don't want thing to go so fast.

"Honey! Are you ready for school?" My mom's concerned voice was heard from the door.

"Yeah, I'm coming." I shouted back. I sighed and grabbed my backpack and walked out. I wore my white shirt tucked in with my brown pants and my shoes. My mom waited for me patiently at the door. She had her fancy blue dress on along with her pointy glasses and bright red lipstick. She wore gloves as she crossed her arms, probably annoyed with me.

"Son, you take forever. A girl does not want a guy to take forever!" I rolled my eyes at her lame excuse to give me advice. Every flaw I had or a mistake I made, mom made it into something I girl never would want.

We got into our white Mercedes while I looked at Jay Blues house. I saw her at her window and she waved. I smiled but didn't wave back knowing my mother will go bananas.

"Poor child is doomed." My mom said as she too spotted Jay Blue. I rolled my eyes at her and we were off to school. I can't remember why mom wanted to drop me off at school, walking was perfectly fine and all. She seemed a bit too peachy lately, but before I could ask we were in front of my school.

"Have a good day sweetie. See at supper tonight." She kissed my cheek and I exited the car and quickly as possible. I hoped no one saw that.

"Hey mommas boy." I would surely expect Michael to say that but instead it was Louis.

"Shut up," I muttered. I continued walking down the path to the double doors. Everyone was hanging out with their buds in the court yard.

"I ain't done with you Hemmings." Louis sneered his fatal remarks towards me while I ignored them. He was a waste of time anyway.
"Stop walking, or Jay Blue can know the truth!" What the hell is he talking about.

"What?" I turned around and saw a small crowd form around the so called "popular" Louis Tomlinson.

"Gotcha." I instantly felt his fist collide with my nose and the pain quickly expanded in my face. I felt the ground beneath me and my face hurting like hell. I was feeling dizzy and the loud laughter and voices soon drifted away. I moaned in pain and rolled on the floor.

Then I was out.

I opened my eyes and noticed laying on a bed, my bed. I tried sitting up but my head instantly started to ache.

"You've awaken!" a voice boomed and belonged to none other than Michael. I groaned in response.

"You got hit pretty hard back there. Ashton and Calum are down stairs with your mother. We came here right after school to check on you. Louis got you good." Michael chuckled and I felt him sit on my bed. I slowly sat up with my head against the pillow.

"Thanks." I mumbled.

"Aye, you'll get over it. I bet you, you can beat his ass before school ends." I smirked at his idea of me getting back. It seemed like a good idea but the thoughts were making my head hurt a whole awful lot more.

"I probably will." Michael handed me the frozen piece of meat and I applied it to my eye. It felt swollen and I could barely breathe through my nose. This sucks.

"Hey, it's almost five. I have to go home. I'll see you tomorrow?" I nodded my head and watched Michael go out my bedroom door. Ashton and Calum came in too and said goodbye.

After that, I felt a bit lonely. I sighed and stood up carefully, I walked to the window to see Jay Blue's house. I was surprised to see her window opened, she stood on her rooftop like the other nights.

I had this feeling in my stomach, the same feeling like Friday. I somewhat found my self creeping down stairs and pass the room that held my sleeping parents. I walked outside and felt the pavement against my toes. The ache in my face was like a pounding pain that never went away. I crossed the street and felt the grass of the McLeans. The pain started to numb away.

I picked up a little small pebble and threw it near Jay Blue to get her attention.

"What are you doing?" I asked when I got her attention. She shrugged her shoulders and climbed down the side of her house.

"What are you doing here?" She asked when I walked to her. I noticed that the white wrappings weren't around her wrist and there were no bracelets. The wrist kept tugging my eyes towards them but I wanted to be polite and not stare. Her eyes grew wide when she connected with mine.

"Luke! What happened to your eye!" Her fingers grasped my cheeks and carefully touched my eye. I winced a little and held her elbow.

"I, uh." I didn't want to tell her Louis practically beat me with just one punch.

"I don't know honestly." I added. I walked over to the edge of the sidewalk and sat down with Jay Blue beside me. We sat in silence and I was thankful Jay Blue didn't bombard me with questions about the swelling in my eye.

"Luke, you're so different." Jay Blue asked breaking the silence. I was confused at to what she meant. Am I really that different?

"What do you mean?" I turned my head towards her to give her my undivided attention.

"You're just different from everyone. Even though I make the worst mistakes ever you still don't draw away. It's actually hard to find people like that." She started playing with her fingers and lazily pressing her hands over her scars.

"Jay Blue, you're different too. Well, everyone is different. We all have pain but we solve it differently." I didn't know how or what to say to her.

"I know. I guess that's what makes me worthless."

"Jay Blue you are not worthless. You are worth so much to... me." I quietly wrapped my arm around her and held her close. I softy heard her whimper and felt the wetness of her tears.

"Jay Blue, don't cry. Why are you crying?"

"Because Luke, I finally reached the light." She looked up and faintly smiled before pressing her lips against mine. I was a bit taken back but kissed her back wrapping my other arm around her waist. Her lips were soft and I felt I could kiss them all day and not get tired.

I didn't really expect myself to kiss Jay Blue, let alone feel myself fall for her.

-

I went back to school the next day, without realizing I might see Louis again. I'm sure he got suspended or something, not like I'm scared of him. He just shouldn't have done that, he's such a prick.

"Morning Luke!" Ashton shouted making my ears ring and my head feel dizzy.

"Cut it out Ash. The poor guy got blown in the face," Michael said slapping Ashton in the back off the head. I chuckled at them and we walked together to the school.

"Louis did get suspended. Did you ever tell your mom?" I shook my head at Michaels question. My mom would freak out. All she knows is that I was playing football and fell with my face landing on the football. She seemed to buy it so I'm not that worried about it.

"Good, he's such a prick." I sneered wiping my nose. The boys laughed and we ventured through the halls and went to class.
