Hello everyone! Lady Maria here! I want to thank you all for over 780 reads on this book, and thank you to all those who have added the story to your libraries and to those who have left comments on the chapters! I'm really glad you guys like it so much and keep reading it!
And I know, I haven't been updating as much as I'd like to. I was planning on keeping up with my schedule for this book, but it was the holidays and I had family coming over and hanging out with friends. We were out doing everything that there is to do here in Florida, and there is A LOT to do!
I'm sure you're all tired of hearing excuses and more excuses, but I'd rather tell you guys what it is I'm doing than not say anything at all (unless something super bad happens).
Anyway, enough from me, thank you for your patience and I hope you'll continue reading this book in the future. Hope you all had a very Merry Christmas, and I hope you have a very happy New Year's!
Thank you, and I will see thou later!
~Lady Maria~

"Over there! That's it, right?" Prompto exclaims as he points to a large beast across the field. The beast had two, large red horns protruding out of its head, as well as two more under his jaw, only smaller, and thick fur that started from its lower jaw to its chest. It wasn't like the normal dualhorn that you'd see. This was had many things that made it stand out from the rest. The beast's bulky appearance made it all the more intimidating, but judging by Prompto's casual stride he thought otherwise."That's a dualhorn?" Gladio asks as we slowly emerge from behind a rocky wall.
"The bloodhorn. It must be the one that bounty was for," I said as I watched as the beast shake its body.
"It's definitely not your run-of-the-mill breed," Ignis points out. "We'd best make quick work of it."
"Right then, let's get to work," Noct says eagerly as he begins walking closer to the beast.
"Wait a sec!" Gladio exclaims as he pushes Noct behind him as he summons his giant sword.
"What--scared big guy?" Prompto teases with a smirk.
"You oughta be, too. Thing's vicious," Gladio warns.
"You sure? Looks pretty tame to me," Prompto says casually. I sent him a scolding glare when I heard heavy thumping ahead of us, and turned to see the mutated beast charging right at us.
"Does THAT look tame to you!?" I exclaim.
"Out of the way!" Ignis yells as we jump our of the way. Gladio holds his sword tight in his hands as he gives his sword a mighty swing at the beast's neck, sending it on its side as it howls in pain.
"Yeah! Show 'em who's boss!" Prompto cheers.
"Nice one, Gladio!" Noct praises as we all get up.
"It's not over yet!" Ignis announces as the bloodhorn pulls itself up on its four feet. I quickly whip out my sword and my dagger, holding them out in front of me like I was taught.
"Ready for round two? Bring it!" Gladio taunts as he readies himself and the others summon their weapons. The bloodhorn is on all fours and growls before letting out a loud roar, setting its sights on all five of us. I haven't fought anything nearly as big as this thing, so it was safe to say that I was a bit nervous going up against it, but going one-on-one with Cor the Immortal himself and going through his rigorous training is much scarier. I think I'll manage.
