Neil silently whined. Those eyes, they could only belong to Daniel. It seemed his appearance had changed as well somehow. He shook his head, trying to stop shaking. However it happened, it didn't matter, what mattered was that he was here and not in prison.

He needed to get out of here, but the sun was setting, and the storm was right on top of him. Plus his fucking leg was broken. He hoped someone had come looking for him, if not... he might die here.

David ran through the woods, the kids at his heels. There! The ravine was right ahead. He slowed down, as to not fall into it. There was a small path that led down into it, and judging by the foot prints, that was where Neil had gone.

But the path was slippery due to the rain, so it would take him a little while to get down.

"Kids, it'll take me a bit to get down this path, can you fly down and look for Neil?" he asked, beginning to walk down.

Max looked at his wings, before opening them and warily stepping over to the edge. Nikki, on the other hand, threw herself off the cliff and spread her wings out, gliding down.

Upon seeing Nikki not be splattered against the ground,(and seeing the heart attack it gave David) Max followed, albeit less enthusiastically.

Max nearly slipped when he touched down, not expecting to feel wet grass. He glanced around, trying to see where his friend had gone. He spotted a cave, and ran towards it, hoping that there wasn't a bear inside.

Neil raised his head, suddenly very alert. He had heard two thumps coming from outside. He sucked in air, puffing himself up. The human side of his mind was telling him that he didn't look threatening at all, and that he should run, but his dragon side wasn't listening anymore.

His heart stopped when he saw to figures through the bright final glow of the sunset. It restarted again when he saw who it was.

"Neil!"

He was suddenly tackled by a turquoise blur, finding himself sprawled on the ground. He whined involuntarily when he felt a sharp pain in his leg. Nikki immediately got off him, but didn't step back very far.

Max tried to make it seem like he didn't care, but a small smile quirked up at the edges of his mouth. He was glad to see his friend alive.

Alive, but definitely not unharmed.

Blood was gushing down his leg, pooling on the floor. Neil was leaning on Nikki, who was attempting not to step in the blood. Max walked to his friend's side and let Neil lean on him.

"Come on Neil, lets get you back to camp."
