Chapter 15
The day arrived quiet quickly. The carriage was ready to go to the city hall. Jane and job were getting ready when a loud (seemed anxiouse) knock on my door. I look and I saw that it was mr. Roberts bagging on my entrance door. I unlocked the deadbolt and unhinged the chain lock and opened the door.
"Good morni-"
"Yes, yes! Top of the morning to you to jane!" Mr. Roberts said nervously.
"I'm jim"
"Oh hey Jim, didn't see you there." He said glancing at me then turning away.
"Water?"
"No, that's bad for the body."
"I said water."
"Yes I'll take some."
"Ugg!" I sruged.
"Where are you going?" He asked.
I turned to him with a obvious face. "Going to the old water well."
"But why?"
"For your water.." I said frustrated.
"I don't want any!" He yelled.
"Okay."
"Man," he began. "My mouth is dry as the dessert.
"I bet the desserts a lake." I said.
"On second thought-"
"Sorry for the inturruption, but frankly, your being annoying!"
"How so?"
"You seem nervouse."
"I'm not nervouse." Making that awkward "phhh" sound. "Is really that obvious?"
" but why would you be nervouse? I should be the one sweating like a bull, not you." I said actually seeing him sweat perfesly.
"Well, this will be the first time that...that..that.. I see....her-"
"Mrs. Roberts?" I said. "Why would you be nervouse to see her? "
"Well, it'll be the first time I see her till we had our debacle." He said itching his head.
"So?"
"Well... I still.....well....how to explain this to you? And then to her?"
"Your still in love with her!" I said realizing.
"Shh!" He put his finger up. "I don't want job to hear."
"What don't you want me to hear?" Job's voice came from the hall.
"Why do you always do that?!?" I asked. But job ignored it.
"It was nothing!" Mr. Roberts said.
"I'll figure it out....sooner or later." Job said pointing his fingers to his eyes, then to mr. Roberts, then back at him. "I'm watching you!" Then glared at me.
"So are you all ready?" I asked opening the door.
"Yes, my love." Jane said kissing me on my lips. It's been to long!
"I'm ready." Mr. Roberts said standing up from the chair.
"After you." I said to my love.
"Thank you, Jim."
"So how is this going to play out?" Job asked.
"So first." I began, " we're going to go in and pull mrs. Roberts out of her comfort zone and ask her a few questions."
