He woke up to a body snuggled close to his side, her auburn hair was messy and everywhere. He smiled at the sight, his beautiful Lilac. She was so used to him, so happy with him, she was his in every way. Before he started touching her in a not-so fatherly way, she did assume him to be her father. She was so young when he found her. She was stealing gum at a SevenElevenand he saved her and bought her what he could with what little he had.
She looked at him like he was her whole world, when she met Jean and Shawna, she felt like she had some relations, a family who loved her and cared for her. Samantha Miller was seven years old when she was taken from her life but what mostly everyone did not know was; she was saved. Her real family didn't notice she was gone until two days after they noticed an absence at the dinner table and although it was one less mouth to feed; they put up missing people posters. After a whole month of looking, they stopped. Harry continues to look at her with just as much pity in his eyes when he first saw her. How she has grown tremendously. He shouldn't feel so vexed but when he sees that Jean is not by his side, he panics quickly. Jumping up and running to the door in only his boxers. He calls her name out and down the hall, Shawna asks to be let out, he looks for his keys but theres nothing on his dresser, where he had set them before he went to sleep.
"Shawna, did you hear anything? Where did they go?" He asked in an all too anxious tone, wanting answers and wanting them in the next few seconds. Jean would never do anything so dumb and naive as leaving him ... But Colette would.
"Fuck!" He yelled which twitched Lilac from her slumber, getting off his bed all too quickly.
He looked everywhere for her, banging on the door of Lunas, hoping that Colette would answer, even if he did not like her all that much, his anxiety was rising high as was his anger and the utmost rage that was low lit in the pit of his dark soul.
Not far from the house, Jean stopped on the side of the road, a few minutes from the house, thinking of everything she would do. She doubted herself before she finally went home, telling herself, wiring it into her system that she belonged with them and helping a girl escape from her family was not what she needed to do. So when Jean finally got to move and headed home, she put the van in park and pushed herself to the front door, opening it and having it not be locked was a blessing of course, she was awaited by three antsy people, shuffling and screaming around the house, yelling out the two girls name as a mantra all over the house.
"Colette, Jean, are you here?" Harry asks, finally scurrying to the door, only to find Jean, it was a huge dissapointment for him. He came running from the back door and Jean looked at him, her breath being sucked away from the anger etched onto his beautiful face.
"I-I," she was at a loss for words, her body began to feel numb and heavy, she swayed around, her eyes to the ground, she was so ashamed for what she did and scared, fearing what would come but she tried to pull together and manage herself to be less weak, like Colette, how weak she was to even want to leave, to get caught, Jean then realised that they were all weak, especially Harry, the weakest of all. This was his game and he was losing, spoiled children and their games was all it was and ever will be.
"Jean, what the hell did you do?" He asks, walking up to her, his jaw tense and his eyes a darker green than normal. His body was big and towering over her, making her the prey once again.
"I let her go," she says, trying to wring out what strength and dignity was left inside of her. She finishes with small words. "I had to.."
The moment it happens, it's hard to concentrate on one thing, let alone two - his hand pushed her against the door, and the other grabbed her neck. She squirmed and tears stung her blue eyes. Her skinny legs kicked and trashed while he tried to vie her of more information about his new capture and where she went.
