Nine Days Until Initiation
Harry's POV

I woke up and my first thought was Draco. I had successfully gotten him to go back to the infirmary last night but today was our meeting with Professor Dumbledore and Madam Pomfrey.

I'd be lying if I didn't say that I was terrified of what was going to happen.

But regardless I got out of bed a d got ready as if it was any other day. I walked to breakfast alone because it seemed that Ron was already gone.

When I got to the great hall I noticed that Hermione was sitting next to a boy I'd never seen before and they looked like they were having a good time. Odd. I always thought she liked Ron.

I turned my head a little to see if I could find Draco at the Slytherin table. I didn't but so I assume he is still with Madam Pomfrey.

I walk towards the Gyffindor table so that I can reach my seat next to Hermione when Ron jumps out in front of me.

"Do you see that? Like really, do you see that?Hermione's over there flirting it up with some idiot." Ron said stressfully to me.

"Are you okay, mate?" I asked.

"Oh Merlin no, of course not, I'm outraged." He stated.

"Why? You've never shown that you care for her in that way before." I countered.

Ron stared at me for a bit, kinda like he was considering the point I just made. "Ugh. I just-I don't like his vibe. Hermione deserves better." He replied.

"Yes I'm sure that's why you feel this way." I said sarcastically.

Hermione had spotted us, but that's no surprise seeing as how everyone had since Ron was making such a scene. She said something to the boy beside her and he replied then she got up and walked over to Ron and I.

"What are you doing? Why are you so loud?" She said dramatically.

"Wow, I'm surprised you noticed we exist, with you being all over that idiot over there. Who is that anyway?" Ron said nastily.

"I'll have you know that that's Anthony Charles, and he likes me."Hermione replied gloating.

I tried to cover my snicker as best as I could but Ron just outright laughed. "Well I think he's bloody disgusting. And so are you if you wanna be with someone like that.":Ron said.

"Hey cut it out." I said Ron under my breathe. He rolled his eyes and walked away.

Hermione stomped her leg and said "Why does he have to be like that? I finally found someone who I like and likes me back and he doesn't approve but he's never even met him. So rude."

"I'm not gonna lie to you Hermione, it's obviously because he likes you. You may be really smart, but you sure are dumb sometimes." I said laughing.
