Chapter 3

Kaity's POV

I woke up to Mabel shaking me awake. I looked out the window to see the little town of Gravity Falls. We got our bags and walked off the bus so I and Dipper walked Mabel hopped. We started to walk through the strange town waving at the townspeople.

I don't know why but since we arrived the town has an eerie feeling. It makes my stomach turn and this town never made me feel this way. I've pretty much lived here half my life. We made it to the Mystery Shack and walked in. Not very many people were there, but my childhood friends were.

"Wendy, Soos! I missed you guys!" I exclaimed, running over to Soos almost knocking him over when I hugged him. I let go of him and then hugged Wendy. I turned back around to face the twins.

"Dipper, Mabel, these are my childhood friends Wendy," I said gesturing to Wendy, "and Soos!" I exclaimed, happily smiling while pushing a few strands of my short black hair behind my ear.

"KAITY! Is that you?" I heard Grunkle Stan yell then walk into the room. Once he saw me he smiled and walked over to me embracing me into a hug.

"Hai Grunkle Stan, I missed while I was gone and by the sounds of it you missed me too." I smiled while talking to him, "Anyways so you remember Dipper and Mabel right?" I smiled looking at Stan.

"Of course I do!" Stan exclaimed but I could tell he was lying which I don't understand why. I shrugged it off and smiled at the twins, who looked mildly confused.

Ok, I'm just gonna break the awkward silence, "Stan where are the twins gonna sleep, cause I know I have my own room but they don't." I said, feeling that the room was becoming tense.

"Um, I guess they can use the attic because there are two beds up there and they can use them," Stan said to me with a shrug. I smiled and gestured for the twins to follow me upstairs to the attic.

"It's a little dirty but you guys will live," I said still in the doorway as they walked into their temporary room, "I'll be downstairs if you need me I'll put a sign on my door so you know which ones mine." I smiled as I started to walk out of the room before stopping to the sound of one of the twins voices.

"Kaity wait I have a question," I turned around to look at Dipper who was the one to ask. "Yah what is it?" I asked walking back over to the door.

"Is it just me or does this town give off an eerie feeling. I know you spent a lot of time here so I was wondering if the town was always kinda early?" Dipper asked I was shocked because I thought it was just me who felt it.

"No this town has never felt eary until now. I don't know why but since we arrived I've had this eerie feeling." I said as I scrunch my eyebrows together to show that even I was confused about this feeling we had.

"Well, I don't want to have this feeling the whole time we're here so we should try and figure out what's causing this filling, because like you said this town never have off an eerie feeling so something is probably causing it," Dipper said sitting on his bed and Mabel did the same.

"Well we can figure it out tomorrow but I think you guys should get some sleep. I'll see you guys in the morning." I said walking over to each of them hugging them and walking back downstairs to my room, and shutting my door behind me.

My stuff was already in my room so I opened one of my suitcases and started to put my clothes in my closet. I grabbed a pair of my pajamas and started to get changed. I started to get the feeling I was being watched so I quickly finished changing and tied my hair up and shut off my light and later down in my bed. I slowly started to drift off to sleep.

???'s POV

I watched as Kaity and the twins got off the bus and started to walk toward the Mystery Shack. I've always watched over Kaity when she would come and visit. I act like some people may call a "guardian angel" but I'm special. I can make all of Kaity's dreams come true.

I've gotten stronger since the last time she was here and I know that she and the twins can sense my presence but they don't realize it's me. I followed them to the Mystery Shack and watched them talk before they walked upstairs. I followed of course but since I was outside I followed by looking through the windows.

They went upstairs to the attic and talked some more but all I could hear were there muffled talking. Kaity left the room and I already knew where she was heading so I made my way around the Shack to her room window. By the time I got there, she was changing into her pajamas.

She sensed my presence and hurried to finish changing and she played down in her bed. I shifted into my human form and walked over to her window watching her as she silently slept. I slowly walked away from her window and into the forest which is my home.

The reason I watch over her is that ever since she was born I had this feeling and I wasn't able to get rid of it, so I just went along with it. And over time I fell for her and I fell hard. So since she mostly lived here as a child I stayed here. I didn't go back with her to her parents. I live in Gravity Falls but over the years I've gotten stronger and now she can sense my presence. This may or may not be a good thing.

Thanks for reading this chapter, the next one will be up next Monday. Yas I am back and I want to finish this book for my friend. She's been asking me when I'll publish more chapters well here they come. I'm going on a hopefully regular schedule for this book. Anyways, that's it, stay sad but not too sad.
