Chapter 34

They continued to speak and Tyler sang a few more songs. They hung out for hours before Tyler and Josh left. Me and Bekah hung out in the tree until it started to get dark and we headed back to the Shack, making sure we grabbed everything.

No One's POV

It's been about two weeks since Bekah and Kaity found the tree. They went there and hung out pretty much everyday. They never told anyone else about it, not even Bill or the other boys.

Sometimes Tyler and Josh would come there and Tyler would sing different songs for them. Or even just stum random chords on his ukulele.

Bekah had also told them about her powers and oftentimes she would shift in a feline of some sort. A lot of times she turned into a panther and climbed up a few branches and slept as Tyler sang.

When they were there alone most times they would just listen to lofi and read. Other times Kaity would play her ukulele and write songs while Bekah relaxed on a branch nearby.

During this time they also made the tree more of a hang out. They had built a platform that they left blankets and pillows on, as well as books. The hung up fairy lights and a huge tarp they bought to cover the area from the rain and sun.

One day when they were hanging out they felt the ground shake violently and heard the sound of trees falling over. Bekah shot up looking around quickly.

"What the fuck was that?" Kaity asked Bekah, as she sat down her ukulele and started to get up. Bekah got up to as she shifted back to her human form.

"I don't know." Bekah said as she looked in the direction of where the sound of the crash came from.

"Should we go check it out?" Kaity asked as Bekah started to walk down the branch that reached the ground.

"Yeah, I guess. Just to make sure no one's hurt." Bekah said as she helped Kaity off the branch. Bekah started walking in the direction she heard the crashes, Kaity not far behind her. They started near the tree line, walking into the forest.

Soon they started to see fallen trees. That's when they saw a figure curled into the fetal position. They started walking towards the figure and noticed it was a girl. They looked at each other for a second before rushing over to the girl.

"Are you okay?" Kaity asked the girl as she squatted next to her, Bekah squatting down next to her. The girl didn't say anything, all she did was launch up and hug Bekah, almost knocking her over.

Bekah hugged her back as she buried her face into Bekah's neck as she started crying. She looked at Kaity not really knowing what to do. She shrugged unsure what to do either.

"Hey, it's okay. You're safe." Bekah whispered to the girl as she continued to cry. Bekah then picked her up and she immediately wrapped her legs around her waist.

Kaity got up as well and followed Bekah as she started walking back the way they came. They soon reached the tree line and could see the tree. The girl continued to cry quietly as Bekah carefully walked up the branch.

She sat down with the girl straddling her lap, her legs still tightly wrapped around her waist. Kaity followed and sat down as well. They sat there quietly as the girl stopped crying as Bekah rubbed her back slowly and played with her hair.

"Hey, what's your name." Bekah asked slowly but still rubbed her back. The girl pulled her head away from Bekah's neck. She cleared her throat lightly before speaking.

"My name's Melanie." she said looking at Bekah with tear stained cheeks. Bekah smiled lightly at her.

"My name's Bekah, this is my friend Kaity." Bekah said and motioned over to Kaity. Mel (I'm just gonna call her Mel) looked over to Kaity and gave her a small smile that Kaity returned.

"What is this place?" Mel asked as she looked around Kaity and Bekah's hangout.

"Oh, it's just a hangout we made." Kaity answered before Bekah could. Mel looked at them with big eyes causing them to laugh slightly.

"Anyway, why were you out in the middle of the forest? What happened?" Bekah asked looking back at Mel with worried eyes.

"Um, I-" Mel said as she looked back and forth between the two.

"It's okay, you can tell us." Kaity said reassuringly. Mel looked at her then at Bekah, who just gave her a semi closed eye smile. Mel then realized she was still straddling Bekah. She blushed and shifted so she was now sitting across her thighs, Bekah wrapping her arms around Mel's waist.

"Um, well, you probably won't believe me." Mel said and Bekah and Kaity laughed slightly.

"Trust me, we will." Bekah said reassuringly.

"Well, I'm a Demon and, and I'm stuck here. Lilith sent me here because she said I have to do something, but she didn't tell me what. I'm scared and I just wanna go back." Mel said her voice cracking when she said the last sentence. Bekah hugged her tighter and Mel rested her head on Bekah's shoulder.

"Shh, It's okay, we'll figure this out." Bekah whispered to her as she started to cry again. Mel sniffled quietly as they sat there.

"Well, at least you guys believe me." Mel said, still laying her head on Bekah's shoulder.

"Of course!" Kaity said "That's not the first thing shocking we've heard. For example, Bekah is a half Fallen Angel half ShapeShifter, whose eye's change color depending on her mood. And we know a floating triangle demon. We witnessed little evil fucking gnomes that wanted to marry my little sister!" Kaity said, throwing her hands up in the air.

Mel took a second to process what Kaity said before pulling her head away from Bekah's shoulder.

"You're a half Fallen Angel half ShapeShifter?!" She exclaimed, throwing her arms up. "I thought those were myths." Mel said as she slid off from Bekah's lap, now sitting criss cross next to her. Bekah laughed and rubbed the back of her neck.

"Uh, yeah, my mom was a Fallen Angel and my dad a ShapeShifter." Bekah said, rubbing her neck.

"This is awesome!" Mel said excitedly. Then she froze. "Wait, you said you knew Bill." Mel said looking at Kaity. Kaity just nodded and Mel then smiled. "Wait how old are you? Are you already 21?" Mel said shuffling over to Kaity.

Mwhahaha cliffhanger. Anyway, did you like the chapter? I hope you did! The next chapter might be out Monday but I'm not sure, but as soon as it's done I'll post it. I actually wrote out a rough draft of where I want the story to go and I realized that I could have this story done by the end of this year or early next year... Wow. Anyway stay sad but not too sad. Life's a bitch don't quit.
