While that night's sleep was one of Olivia's best, she still got up at the crack of dawn out of habit. Cursing her internal clock, she got up and put her cloak back on (it was too heavy to sleep in) before heading out into the house quietly, not wanting to wake Remus or Sirius.

Heading into the main area, however, she found that Remus must already be up, for he wasn't on the sofa where he had slept. Shrugging it off, Olivia headed into the kitchen to find something to eat.

What Olivia found was a container of chocolate ice cream just at its expiration date. And, after eating the ice cream that remained, she also found that eating that much food after living off so little for so long led to some issues.

"Olivia? Are you alright?" Came Remus's cautious knock from the other side of the bathroom door.

Olivia, who was currently heaving up ice cream and Merlin knows what else, gulped for a second to respond, "Not really,"

"Are you sick?" Remus asked before Sirius shushed him, stepping up to the door himself.

"Liv, what did you eat?" Sirius asked, fully aware of what was going on. It had almost happened with the bread before, and was very common back when they were on the run, so Sirius had a feeling this would happen.

"Ice cream," Olivia breathed out, feeling like a child being scolded.

"How much? How fast?" Sirius asked again, earning a slight smile from Remus for the newly acquired parenting skills.

"Two thirds of the thing," Olivia said between dry heaves, "And too fast."

Sirius just sighed at her repeated mistake, "Do you want the usual?"

"Please?" Was Olivia's tired response, with Sirius taking off to the kitchen without even asking Remus. Remus shrugged and just moved into the living room, wanting to stay out of their way.

Sirius returned to the bathroom door with two bottles of ginger ale, going through the steps as usual. Remus sat back and wondered what their life would've been like— if Sirius wasn't convicted, if Harry and Olivia had been able to live with their godfathers, if Lily and James hadn't died— and decided that yes, it would've been better, but it wasn't all that bad now.

Over time, Olivia got a lot better with her portion control, but it did take a while of eating under supervision so she didn't eat too much. And, while he would never admit it, Sirius struggled with it too. It was only natural to want to eat more than you can, after all.

Time flew by at the little cottage. While Olivia was right in that there was still no going out or using a wand, she was wrong in that there would be nothing to do. Between Remus's television, learning Latin/spell names, practicing her powers, and eating actual meals, her days felt plenty busy.

Even though the letters from Harry and the trio seemed to stop completely with the end of term, Olivia started getting worried when there was no contact going into the summer. It was the second week of July when she decided to ask Sirius about it.

The three were eating breakfast peacefully, with Remus seeming much more tired than usual and Sirius much more energised. Olivia decided once again not to mention that and instead put down her fork to address Sirius.

"Sirius? Has Harry written?"

Sirius about choked on his eggs, coughing slightly before responding, "Not unless you know something I don't."

Olivia nodded slightly, keeping her face relatively peaceful, "That's what I thought you'd say. Why are you lying to me? What's going on?"

Remus raised his eyebrows silently and looked to Sirius for the return hit. Sirius put down his own fork to respond this time, "I'm not lying to you. He just hasn't written, what do you want me to do about it?"

Olivia rolled her eyes, seeing through his darting eyes easily, "Your eyes dart around when you lie. Besides, I know Harry, and I know he hates living with the Dursleys and writes constantly to try and stay sane. So, look me in the eye, and say why you're lying to me."

Sirius's face looked like a mix between a snarling wolf and a kicked puppy, "Fine, he is sending letters. I'm not letting you read them or write him back because you're not allowed to contact him right now. Its Dumbledore's orders for both of your safeties."

Olivia could feel something feeling her anger, and she didn't stop to question it, "I'm sorry, how the hell is that keeping either of us safe? Seriously, that makes no sense."

Now it was Sirius's turn to start getting angry, "What if owls are intercepted, hmm? You give away our location, his location, and whatever information you decide to put in that letter. Not only that, it's safer for him to stay with the muggles right now. And you tempting him to come here or Diagon Alley or something is just going to get you both killed by death eaters!"

Remus was ready to butt in and try and calm everyone down, but Olivia wasn't having it, "I can't write him because of tracking, but YOU can?! I've seen the ink stains and the missing parchment, I know you're writing," Olivia said to stop their questioning, "In case you haven't noticed WE LIVE IN THE SAME SPOT! What if YOUR owl gets intercepted, hm? You'll get us KILLED." Olivia took a heavy breath, "And you want to get on ME for saying stupid things? I'm sorry, I'm the one trying to comfort him so he doesn't live in constant paranoia like we do! He doesn't need that bullshit!"

Sirius opened his mouth to start shouting back, but Remus cut him off, "Olivia, you're perfectly justified in this. In fact, I'm going to go talk with Sirius in private to lecture him." He yanked Sirius out of his chair, slid the television remote to Olivia, and dragged Sirius off into his bedroom. Olivia felt a little cheated out of her argument, and knew Remus was really on Sirius's side in all this, but figured she didn't want to fight both of them anyway.

Giving up on breakfast, Olivia settled into watching television. After finding a violent show to get her aggression out slightly, she picked up the pen nearby and began flipping it mentally, just passing the time as she tried to calm down. When the adults came back out for lunch, the three pretended everything was just it's usual. After all, they still had two weeks of living there to do.
