Daniel Howell was used to attention. And he was especially used to attention from boys, girls and cameras. God, he really couldn't get enough.
Jason Crusade was Swedens prize model, a hot blonde with a jawline that could cut like glass and light facial hair. Watery blue eyes, and a winner smile with perfect straight white teeth.
He was Dan Howell's boyfriend. And that was revolutionary.
Dan was proud of his boyfriend, and he thought he was some type of beautiful this world wasn't ready for. And he felt enlightened every time he ran his fingers through his soft golden locks, and at first everything was perfect. They were a power couple to the modeling world. A beautiful British boy, top of the magazines power and a stunning Swedish boy, also the best in his country.
But then everything changed.
A new model started to arise in England, a northern boy with black hair and blue eyes. He had amazing cheekbones and was tall and lean, starting out with underwear and face modeling, and then working his way up to making deals with expensive clothing brands, and he was the covers of magazines, one of the hottest models Britain had. And when Dan found out about this, he instantly hated him for coming for his throne.
And he first met him, when his agent announced a pairing modeling gig. Dan's agent was a man who talked very fast named Halo, and he was the best Dan could possibly have. Though, very pushy.
"Dan, you will not believe who I just got you a gig with. Keagan Lee just released a new line of stunning menswear, selling rapidly in England currently, and making the men's fashion world quake in excitement. And they want you to represent it, but alongside one of Europes finest as well."
Dan smiled but then raised an eyebrow. "Alright, who? Jason? Fergus?"
"Better." Halo said, "Phil Lester. Englands new rising star, and sexy underwear extraordinaire. I mean, you've seen the photos, this boy paired with you, is going to revolutionize clothing wear. I-"
"No." Dan said, "I'm not doing it."
Halo crossed his arms. "Excuse me?"
"The deal? Yeah, I'm not doing it with a prick who only got anywhere in the fashion world because photoshop made him look good in a pair of underwear. And as for rising star, I'm pretty sure all his fame will disappear once they realize the only reason he looks so good in glasses is because they hide his face."
Halo laughed. "You say that because you're jealous. You know the media loves him, hm? Thinks he's the sweetest boy to ever be in front of a camera. Unlike your boyfriend, who's a first class asshole by the way."
"He just gets stressed sometimes." Dan snapped.
"He's stuck up."
"That's not true. He cares about me."
"He cares about your fame, Daniel. You make him look good, you know? But enough about your dating life, I'm talking business. Don't forget you signed a contract with this model company, and I'm not your manager but she definitely will not let you pass up this opportunity. Partnering up with Keagan Lee will not only bring in the money, but partnering up with Phil will bring in the publicity and help to better your image. So put on your best, Daniel, you're going to have to get over your jealousy."
