Chapter 30

Pippa's POV

As Daveed and I are walking down the hall we hear loud laughing behind us. We turn around to find Lin, Anthony, Leslie, and Chris in a little group laughing like college students. Daveed and I share confused looks until we start laughing at their craziness. I see Chris point as us and he yells, "Guys! Look who it is!" They all look at us as we laugh at them. Lin looks at me and smiles then winks at me. I stop laughing and turn at look at Daveed, who has also stopped laughing and is now wide eyed. He looks at me and I start walking down the hall. He grabs a hold to me and starts whispering. Oh this is great. We finally reach the stage with the guys not far behind. He leaves me with Renée and Jazzy as he walks toward Oak and John. I sit down with the girls as I wait until the best time to tell everyone.

"Hey Pippa." I look up from my hands to see Anthony standing in front of me. "Hi Ant. What's up?" "Mind if I sit?" "Not at all." I look at the spot beside me and notice that Nee and Jazzy are gone. "So, you okay? You look a little nervous or something." He says rubbing the back of his neck. "Oh you noticed that?" I say turning towards him. "Maybe." He says looking me in the eyes. For the first time we are actually pretty close and I can really see all of the freckles on his face. He's actually kind of cute. "What's got you so nervous Pips?" He asks breaking me out of my thoughts. "Well it's kind of big and it's a lot to take in. You probably don't want to here about it." I say looking back at my hands. "I'm all ears." He says with a sincere smile. Anthony is actually a really sweet guy. "Okay." I say looking up. I start and tell him the same thing I've told Lin, Daveed, and Johnathan. "Wow. Damn Pippa that's horrible. Why would he do something like that? You're so...so perfect!" He says nervously. I start to feel my cheeks heat up while I try to think of the right words to say. "Umm, thanks Anthony." I say quietly. "Uh, you're welcome." He says using the same tone I used. After this our conversation just flows so easily as we talk and laugh at the stupid jokes Anthony makes. Maybe talking to Anthony is one of the best things that's happened to me in the past 3 days. After a while we fall into a comfortable silence and I notice that Anthony has actually laid his hand on mine. I look at it and blush, but I don't remove my hand. I feel my phone vibrate in my back pocket, so I take it out. It's a message from Lin.

Lin: When are you going to tell everyone???

Pippa: When should I?

Lin: How about we all meet up after and you can tell them then?

Pippa: That's a good idea Linny. Thanks.

Lin: No prob. Now is Anthony holding your hand? 😏😏😏

Pippa: Omg Lin! I hate you!

Lin: What???😉😉😉 You guys make a cute couple!

Pippa: Goodbye.

Lin: Ugh, Fine I'll stop!

Pippa: Good.

After the last message I put my phone back in my pocket, look at Lin and stick my tongue out at him. He just returns the gesture before returning his attention back to Chris and Leslie. I look over at my Schuyler Sisters who are wide eyed and staring at my hand. Next thing I know they are breaking out into squeals. Oh my. What have I gotten myself into?

Aww so sweet. So many feelings guys! Okay. Let's go.
