Chapter 34

Pippa's POV

I walk to my dressing room with Renée and Jazzy. We talk until we reach my room. They say there goodbyes and I walk into my room. I change out of my dress and into my normal clothes since we are still in tech week. I sit down in my chair and get on my phone. I hear a knock on my door and look up. "Come in!" I yell out and watch the door open. The opened door reveals none other than Anthony Ramos himself. "Hey." He says with a smile. "Hi. What's up?" I say. "I wanted to ask you something." "Okay. Go on  ahead." He sits down beside me and says, "So, I was wondering if maybe you'd like to hang out sometime? It's okay if you don't want to. I'll understand." I sit there just looking at him while my face heats up. Oh. My. God. Is Anthony asking me out on a date? "Like a date?" I ask. He rubs the back of his neck and says, "Well, yeah I guess so. But you don't have to, I'll understand." "What? No! Anthony I'd love to go out with you sometime. When exactly?" He sits there and thinks for a few seconds. "How about tomorrow? I can pick you up at 7 since rehearsals end at 5, so that'll give us 2 hours to get ready. Sound good?" "Sounds great. I can't wait." I say and he lets out a sigh of relief. "I thought you were going to say no." "Well I didn't." "That's right you didn't." He smiles at me and I smile back. There's a knock at the door and I get up to answer it. "Well hello there Miss Soo. Shall we retire for the evening with a nice New York style pizza?" Lin asks me with an odd accent. "Would you come in so I can get my stuff?" "Ugh, I guess so." Lin walks in and takes my seat beside Anthony. "Sup Ant." Anthony says hi back and then they start whispering. "Why are you two always whispering?" I ask as I put my phone in my purse. "Why do you care, Phillipa?" Says Lin. I roll my eyes at him and sigh. "Okay. I guess that's my cue to leave. I'll see you two tomorrow." Anthony says as he stands up. "See ya Anthony." Lin says with a wave. "Bye." I say as he walks out. "Bye." He says and sends me a smile. I smile back and see Lin smirking out the corner of my eye. "Why are you smirking?" I ask him as I poke him in the arm. "Why are you smiling?" He says with a smirk still on his face. I roll my eyes at him again and say, "Let's go. You said something about pizza." "True, but we have to pick up Sebby." "I'm good with that." He sticks his arm out and says, "Shall we?" "Yes we shall." I grab his arm and we walk out the door.

"So, you and Anthony are going out on a date?" Lin asks me as we head to his parents. I look at him with wide eyes then answer him. "How did you know?" He chuckles and says, "The guys and I were the ones that told him to make a move. He's liked you for a while now." I look at him shocked and he just chuckles even more. "Pips, why are you so surprised?" "Well, why didn't you tell me?" "Because it wasn't my place. Anyway Anthony should make a move by himself without me warning you before it happens." He says with a shrug. I think about his words before saying something. "I guess you're right." "Aren't I always." He says with a big smile. I smile back at him and roll my eyes. After a few more minutes in the car we arrive at Lin's parents. Man, I really want some pizza.

"Come on." Lin says as he gets out the car. "But I usually stay out here." I say pointing at the car. "I know, but my parents love you, so come on." "Okay. Fine." I get out of the car and we walk toward the house. Lin knocks on the door and his mom opens the door. "Lin, you're finally here. Pippa! I'm happy you decided to get out of the car this time." I smile at her and say, "So am I." She smiles at me then turns to Lin. "You're 10 minutes late." He sighs and says, "I know Mamá. I won't be late next time. Now can we come in?" She chuckles and says, "Fine. Hurry up it's cold out there." "That's why I asked if we could come in." Lin mumbles as we walk in. I glare at him a little for what he said and he raises his hands up in defense.

"Daddy!" Sebastian says once he can see Lin and I. "Hey buddy." Lin says picking up Sebby. "How was your day?" "Good!" "That's great! Did you have fun?" Sebby nods and looks at me. He gets down just so he can get into my arms. "Hey." I say with a smile which he just laughs at. I see Lin watching us out the corner of my eye. "What?" I ask. "Nothing."
