Chapter 35

Lin's POV

"She's good with kids." My mom says to me as we watch Pippa and Sebby. "Yeah. She is. She'll be a great mom one day." She nods and walks into the kitchen. I follow her and we fix coffee. "Do you like her, Lin?" She asks me and I give her a shocked look. "Mamá, the divorce just got finalized and you think that I should start dating again? Anyway, yeah Pippa is great, but us being a "thing" isn't the best idea." She shakes her head and sighs, "Okay. Calm down, hijo. I'm just speaking my mind." "Yeah mamá I know. Maybe not the best thing you should do." She laughs and walks out of the kitchen. "Okay. Just walk away next time. I won't mind." I say sarcastically and walk out too.

About 30 minutes later I ask Pippa if she's ready to go. "Okay you two. You ready to go?" Pippa looks up and smiles, "Yep. Let me get his things." She stands up and grabs Sebastian's things. "Okay. Let's go. I'll see you later mom. Tell dad I said hi." She nods and says, "Of course. Don't get into any trouble. Putting you three together isn't the best idea." "What a great sense of humor Mamá." I say as I roll my eyes. "Get out." "Ok, relajarse." I say as I raise my hands in defense. We wave goodbye and then head to the car.

"So we are getting pizza right?" Pippa asks me. "Of course." "Good." After this the car ride is silent. "This date between you and Anthony, what are you guys going to do?" I say after I can't handle the silence any longer. "I don't know. He just said he would pick me up at 7 tomorrow." "Sounds romantic." She looks at me and rolls her eyes. "Aren't you funny?" I smirk and say, "The funniest, Miss Soo." "Hahaha. You are so hilarious. You should become a comedian, Lin." She says and rolls her eyes once again. "I hope your eyes get stuck. Why do you only roll your eyes at me?" "I roll my eyes at Daveed too. You're not that special, Mr. Miranda." I put my hand over my chest to show fake hurt. "I thought I was always special to you." A small smile shows up on her face as it heats up. I laugh at her and say,  " I like to think I'm pretty good at making that happen!" I look at Sebby through the rearview mirror and say, "Sebby isn't she adorable?" He nods and I see Pippa's face grow redder. "I can't believe you two." I do my best evil laugh as we pull up to the pizza place.

After we get the pizza and get to the apartment, we head inside. "Could it get any colder outside?" Pippa says as she puts Sebby down. "Of course it can Pips. It's New York." I say and she rolls her eyes. "Why thank you Lin. Now you can be a meteorologist. A triple threat. Broadway star, comedian, and meteorologist. Congratulations." She says. I look at her and cross my arms. "You know sometimes that smart-ass attitude is annoying." She laughs and shakes her head. "But you love me." "Sí, pero you're annoying." She smiles and says, "It's just one of my amazing traits." I smirk and look at her up and down. "You have many amazing traits." I say with a wink. "Idiot. Come on Sebastian we have a pizza to eat." She says as her and Sebby walk to the kitchen. "Did you just call me an idiot?" "Yes. Now come on." God this is fun.

It's been a while. Finally had time. Anyway it's nice. Okay. Let's go.
