"Watch your step right here, the path kinds of goes into a steep drop." Thorne warns, just ahead of me, as he is walking through forest of jungle trees. I look up at the canopy of trees above us. Even though I have been on Earth for almost 6 months, I still get amazed on how beautiful it is! Around every corner there is something new and more beautiful then the last object. It's amazing!
"Cress? Honey, are you having another one of those 'Earth is SO AMAZING' moments again? Cause when your done we can go back to the hotel and get some sleep it's getting late." Thorne had turned back to look at me and was laughing at me again.
"I know you have been living on Earth your whole life but most of mine I have been staring at it from space, you need to just be nice and let me all absorb it in without having to defend myself against you!" I answered as he came over and slid his arm around my waist and turned me around to start going back to our room. He had been showing me the world as a REALLY big wedding present that will last about a year if we complete it all.
"Crescent, you know I love it when you get that look on your face but do you have to get it like every minute of every day? I mean people might think it's a little weird to look at a tree or ocean with that look for five to ten minutes." We had almost reached to main path that led to the little tourist city where we had been staying for the past 4 days.
"I only care about what you think, not some random people in the middle of the Amazon rainforest." Our hotel was in view now, about two minutes from where we were standing. "As long as you aren't bothered by it, those people can just ignore me. You, however, have to live with me the rest of your life."
"And is that a bad thing? I mean it's your flaw, but can't some flaws be perfect too?"
"How is something like that good, much less perfect?"
"Oh that's easy to answer; because it's something that makes you distinct and stand out in a crowd. It would make my day a lot worse if my wife wasn't the sweetest and most beautiful woman in the room AND she didn't stand out, but blended in with everyone else!"
"And it would have been devastating to me if my husband wasn't the incredibly handsome Captain Thorne! With his charming good looks and a smile that drew me to him, even when I was orbiting around Earth in space." We had reached to the front door of hotel and like the gentleman I know he can be he held the door open for me.
"Thank you, sir," trying to be formal but failing misberally. As soon as the words left my mouth, it broke into a smile. I can never act like I don't know him because I love him too much.
"Nice try Crescent, but you can't be formally with me at all," he said as he let go of the door and slid his hand into mine. Then we both started walking to our room.
