Chapter 5: Scarlet

        I walked to the door of Wolf's room above the barn and knocked. The door opened a minute later, Wolf was standing there with no shirt. His chest was covered in scars from when he worked in the Lunar Army as a soldier. Looking past the scars, his chest still had it's perfectly defined six-pack that he had when he was a soldier but now it is from helping me around the farm. 

        "Hey Alpha, whats up?" He opened the door so I could come in. As I walked in, I tripped over one of the loose boards and the floor started to rush up to meet me but an arm shot and I stopped falling. Wolf lifted me back up and smiled. "Smooth, try and pick up your feet a bit more. You won't trip as much."

        "Your one too talk! I see you tripping over this board all the time!" We both know that that wasn't true, but he still went along with it.

        "Ya, ya. I have been mean to fix it, Alph. I just haven't had enough time. You have been keeping me really busy with building the fence for the new animals we are getting." He did have a point. I was upgrading the farm to for than just chickens and a vegetable garden. We are going to be getting horses, cows, pigs, goats and sheep. Why have 200 acre farm with chickens and vegetables? Wolf had to get his wolf instincts under control before we get a bunch of animals. So he has been building a pasture by the chicken coop for a month.

        "So how is that going? Are you getting any wolfie instincts to catch and eat the chickens?" I walked over to his window and looked at his work. The paddock was about 38 acres. Just as big as all the others will be. He is almost done with the first one. Just a few more sections of fence and he will be done with it. That's with him taking a few days each week to help me with the barn. It has taken me a month to get three-fours of the walls done even though he has been helping me. Why is he so fast a doing things like that? It must be h-

        "Earth, Moon and Stars to Alpha!" I look up at Wolf, startled out of my train of thought "You have been staring out the window for about three minutes now. I have been saying your name for about a minute."

        "Oops. I was just thinking about how amazing you are. Anything wrong with that, Pup?" I walked over to him and shoved him.

        "Wait, what did you just say?"

        "As if I would repeat that again!"

        "Did I just hear Alpha say I was amazing?" He acted like he didn't hear my prevois stament.

        "I don't know, did you?"

        "I think so, I mean I did hear your voice say it, but I was probably dreaming!"

        "You most definitely were! Give me one good reason why I would say that?"

        "Oh I don't know, maybe because you love me?"

        "Okay, that I will agree too!"

        "Say it." He grabbed my wrist and pulled me closer to him.

        "Say what?"

        "I think you know"

        "Fine. I love you, Wolf" I say dropping my voice to a whisper.

        "So I can hear you loud and clear."

        "I love you, Wolf! Are you hap-" I am cut off by him crushing my mouth with his. After what seems like eternity, he pulls away and says "I love you more." I seriously doubt that.
