At First Sight

Chapter 10- You and I

Niall, Natalie, Harry, Zayn, Brittany, and a few other people were crowded

around in a circle.

"You first," Harry pointed to Brittany. It was weird because they were sitting right next to each other.

"Fine. Natalie, truth or dare?" Brittany smirked.

"Hmm...dare." Natalie smiled.

"Oooooh. I got a good one. Flash everyone for 10 seconds." Brittany laughed out.

"For 10 seconds?" Natalie was relieved it wasn't one minute.

"Oh wait! Let's make it fun. Flash for the whole game since everybody in this town has already seen you nake.."

"BRITTANY! Stop!" Natalie tried to act calm, but her voice came out louder than she thought.

"What was Brittany about to say?" Niall asked Natalie.

"It was nothing. She has had too much to drink, that's all." Natalie whispered. On the other side of the circle Harry and Zayn were cracking up. Niall got up to grab a few more beers for everyone.

"I'm actually going to get a cranberry vodka if anyone wants one." Natalie stood up quickly.

"That sounds awesome!" Brittany raised her hand.

"Brittany I think you'll be fine without it." Natalie rolled her eyes.

Natalie ran to catch up with Niall. Niall turned towards her and grabbed her arm.

"What was she going to say? Tell me." Niall harshly snapped.

"Niall, what the fuck happened to you? Like all of the sudden you are acting different around me." Natalie was scared for a second.

"HEY EVERYONE COME WATCH!" Some guy yelled from the living room.

Natalie turned away and walked toward the crowd. Niall sighed and followed her. The flat screen was hard to see because of everyone standing in front of it. As Natalie neared the crowd, she caught a glimpse of Liam on the tv. She immedietly knew what it was.

"Oh God...." Natalie finally let out. Everyone was cheering when Liam walked into the room with Brittany following him.

He walked up to the tv and and his eyes darted to Natalie. There was a nervous look on his face. She looked at Brittany standing close to Liam, almost too close. They kept watching Liam on the tv and everyone gasped when Natalie walked onto the screen. Niall faced Natalie and his mind was racing. He watched enought of it to know what is was.

"I don't know what to think..." Niall faintly whispered after a few minutes.

"Niall...please listen." Natalie called after Niall.

"Natalie, I know we just met a couple weeks ago and I shouldn't be mad but I am." Niall whispered.

"Again just let me explain! You never listen to me!" Natalie snapped.

"Okay. Fine, but we need to leave." Niall said flatly.

"Fine. Follow me." Natalie considered her house or the beach. "Is the beach okay?"

"Yeah. Wherever." Niall answered.

"I am just going to grab something from my car." Natalie uttered. She opened the trunk and grabbed the blanket lying on the floor. She met back up with Niall and they both walked down the boardwalk and onto the beach. Natalie layed down the blanket and sat down. Niall hesitated but finally sat.

"So...do you want to explain everything to me?" Niall asked. He stared at the ocean and the moon glistening upon it.

"Okay. Two years ago after the basketball season ended, basically the whole sophmore class came up here to this house. Everyone was drinking and that was the most drunk I have ever been. And don't tell me, I know I was 16, but everyone drinks in small towns. Anyways not my point. Liam and I have been hooking up since freshman year, and please trust me I didn't even realize he was recording, and we were both very drunk. I never meant for it to happen but it did. I know you probably think of me differently now, but you should know what happened." Natalie didn't want to cry but she could feel it coming. She looked up into the sky in search of stars.

"Natalie...I don't think of you any differently. It happened in the past. Sometimes people with the worst pasts, end up creating the best futures." The corners of Niall's mouth turned slightly upward.

"If you are the luckiest person in this world, the person you love decides to love you back." Natalie finally put into words. She could see Niall's smile faintly in the moonlight.

"Then it must be a lucky day." Niall smiled. "But I think we have to go through all this stuff you know? To get to the places we want to be. Natalie I love you. I am in love with you and nothing can change that. Not even a sex tape." They both burst into laughter.

"Niall, I love you too." Natalie smiled.

"Come here." Niall grabbed her arms and pulled her towards him. He decided this was it. This was the time. She was his. He kissed her. He could feel her smile form on his lips.
