From the back window both Niall and Natalie could tell it was about to rain.They still went to talk outside. For a couple of minutes niether of them said anything. They both just stared at Lake Travis crashing onto the shore in her back yard.
Breaking the silence, Niall asked, "What are you thinking?"
"Nothing. Just praying for rain."
For a minute Niall stared at her. "What happened yesterday?"
"A lot of things. It's a long story and it's hard to explain." Natalie sighed.
"Well can you please explain to me?" Niall asked.
"It's hard Niall!" Natalie was on the verge of tears.
"If it is so hard what are we even doing then? Huh? Should we just end this thing, whatever it was we had? Because right now that's what you're telling me." Niall raised his voice a little bit.
"No! Not at all! Look I have this kind of ex boyfriend...I"
"Kind of ex boyfriend? What is that supposed to mean?" Niall asked. This time Natalie was actually crying.
"You didn't let me finish! Look his name is Liam Payne. I bet you've heard about him at school." Natalie sobbed.
"Liam Payne? That dick? You fucking dated him?" Niall asked. He put his hands into fists and squeezed until they were white. They remained like that for awhile.
"It wasn't like that! Again you didn't let me finish! It was more like friends with benefits. But I always wanted something more, but he found ways to lure me and other girls to fall in love with him. And it worked. I was with him last night and today." Natalie was crying even harder now that she got it off of her chest.
"You were fucking with him last night? You fucking spent the night with him and you just left me on the beach like a fool. You showed me. You really did." Niall spitted out. It looked like, from Natalie's view, he was about to cry too.
She shuddered when she felt a rain drop on her shoulder. It was silent for a few seconds, until it started to pour.
"Look Niall," Natalie shouted,"I know nothing will change your mind now, but please believe me when I tell you this. I am in love with you and I have been since the second I met..."
At that moment Niall wrapped his hands around her face and kissed her. He knew he was completely in love with her.
"Natalie..I plan on falling completely in love with you." Niall blurted out.
