"Mum! I'm home!"

"Brooke! Finally! How are you honey? Are you tired? Do you need anything? Do you..."

"Mum, I'll be fine as long as you stop hugging me, it's been a month since I last saw you! Plus, it's not like I went to war," I said, laughing at the fact that after 2 years my mum still had the same reaction when I came back home. I don't blame her though, I'm the only girl in the family and I'm still 17.

"Brooke! I have a football match tomorrow, you coming?," that is Kevin, my little brother. He's 11 years old. I also have two older brothers, Eric, who is 22, and Corey, 20. They are both studying in Manchester.

"For sure babe! God Kev, stop growing, you're almost as big as me!"

"As if that was hard to do," my brothers were always laughing at me because I was short, as if they were basketball players.

"And that's my girl!"

"Adam! I'm so happy to be back home!," Adam is my stepdad. Although he's practically our dad. He married my mum when I was 13, a year before the first album, and he's literally raised my brothers. "I have to go now, the girls wanted to see Lucy at the bar before she goes home, we'll come later!" And with that I left.

We love Lucy's bar. It's a nice place, and we performed there together for the first time. It was nice to be back and let the memories keep flooding back.

"So Maddie, is Jesse moving to London next year?," we asked. Jesse was Maddie's boyfriend. They met during some weeks off we took in Essex to finish the writing of the new album, and they've been dating ever since. I really think they're meant to be, but they're taking it slow. He's a nice lad though, and he's good friends with Lucas, which give him some extra points. And yes, Haley is still with Lucas. I tell you, these two will end up getting married and having kids together.

"Yes, well, if he's admitted at Uni of course,"Maddie answered.

"Look at the telly! It's One Direction, again! I wonder why Lucy has always X Factor on in the bar, does she fancy Simon Cowell or something?," Kirsten said.

"Brooke, did you know the blond one is Irish?," Charlie asked, raising her right eyebrow.

"Stop it."

"C'mon, admit you've always had a thing for the Irish boys, you always end up liking the Irish one!," Haley said, laughing along with the others. I knew it was true. No matter what movie, boyband, comedian, even boys in the street... I always liked the Irish ones. Maddie thinks it has something to do with the fact of my mum being born and living in Dublin till she turned 15, and the fact that we used to spend there 2 weeks of summer every year when I was a kid. However, I knew that if I admitted it, they would end up teasing me about that on interviews. What I didn't know is that, eventually, they would do it, and I'd have to admit it on TV.

"Whatever. By the way, aren't you excited about going on tour after Christmas?," I said, trying to change the topic.

"Well yes, but I'm more excited about the American tour in April."

"I'm more excited about the Arena tour in summer!"

"Oh God it's true, I almost forgot about that!"
