“Come, come, we got a lot to plan!”
Cassie and I walked into Lillie’s place, minus Trey. All the guys were out for the day, giving us girls’ a chance to plan. We got 6 days left to make this happen now.
“So red..” Cassie said, as we sat in the living room. Samara was already there. “Right? Feels like I’m sitting in a tomato..”
“All you b*tches can do is talk about how red my place is, God!” Lillie said from the kitchen, her voice overly tainted with irritation.
I looked to Cassie, who looked to Samara— what’s her deal?
The last to show up was Charlie. “Business; don’t ask.” She said haughtily, sitting on the couch, crossing her legs. “Charlie, what did I tell you about pretending? Well know you were at Macy’s, catching that Christmas sale; don’t lie!”
Charlie mock laughed at me as I exposed her. We all knew it was true though. “Lillie, get’cho a$$ in here, we have stuff to plan…for yo’ man!” Charlie hollered.
Lillie came in, rubbing her lower back like it hurt. “Ho, don’t rush me. I was preparing these damn snacks for you all!” Lillie loudly let the platter clank on the coffee table. She sat down, fanning herself. “It’s hotter than a muth’f*cka in here.” She complained.
Except the AC was on.
We all stared at her, worried. Well except Charlie; she looked mad— still probably stuck on the fact that she got called a ho. This isn’t like Lillie, she’s usually happy and chill.
She sighed, rubbing her forehead. “I’m sorry. I’m just— I think I’m PMS’ing, just ignore me, okay.” Charlie still looked pissed. “I’m sorry Charlie, you are not a ho.”
Charlie made a “I-know-that’s-right” face, taking a snack from the platter.
“Okay, Samara, what were you saying yesterday?” Lillie said, sitting back.
“Yeah, a club. We can get a VIP section, just us. With some bouncers. Our own bar— it’ll be fun. Clubs are always fun, except this will be a like a private clubbing experience for us.”
Lillie nodded, smiling. “Craig is gonna be 25, so it sounds good. It’s real mature. Except his birthday falls on a Monday this week. Only lames club on weekdays. Clubbing on a Sunday is just sinful, plus that’s Christmas.”
Lillie thought for awhile. “We’d have to do it the 24th..but isn’t it tacky to club on Christmas Eve?”
“Nah, it’s cool. Believe me.” Cassie said. We all looked at her. “Hey, don’t judge!”
“Okay, the 24th. Now which club?” Samara asked, marking these things down on a notepad.
“Classic’s Lounge?” Cassie suggested. “Nah, too ratchet.” Charlie added. “Hmm, well Mystics is pretty nice” Samara said. “Drinks are too over priced!” Lillie complained.
“I got it!” Charlie yelled. “Club Mayhem! It has 2 floors, we can VIP the 2nd floor, or at least a section of it. We all know Mayhem right? Now that’s a quality club.”
I was dumbfounded. I’ve never “clubbed” in my life. Not even in Louisiana.
“Why are you looking so clueless Shai?” Charlies asked. I stared at her; she knew. “Oh, that’s right!” She looked at the others. “Shai is a club virgin.”
I blushed as they all snickered. “But it’s okay, cause Imma get you some drinks and hook you up with some fine men— you’ll have a blast!” Charlie came over and sat next to me. She put her arm around me. I cut my eyes at her.
