Sunday
Lillie
“I hate it. I look like a whale.” I stood in the full mirror of David’s Bridal.
Part of this vaction involves us getting our clothes and everything, including Samara’s gown. We’ve been in David’s bridal half the day now, with Mara controlling everything. We’ve been in and out of the changing rooms, under her orders. I think she likes this choice, well I hope, cause I wanna go on with the day already! Samara’s color scheme is pretty and all, but I can’t do this. I’m freaking 6 months, do I have to be a bridesmaid, maid of honor at that? I look like a walking tent.
“It looks beautiful! It’s modest, it’s perfect, come on Lillie, don’t be that way.” Samara pleaded at me as I turned sideways to look at myself. I miss my flat belly. This little baby in me got me having all these fatty cravings, I blame her.
I mean, I did like the dress, it was flowy and comfortable, I just didn’t like it on me. But I really don’t want Mara going Bride-zilla on me, so I’ll let it be.
I watched as Cassie, Charlie, and Shai trailed out their dressing rooms with their cutesy little bridesmaids dresses. They were adorbable, call me jealous.
“Guys, doesn’t Lillie look amazing?” Samara probed them.
“She looks natural, so radiant. The color compliments her skin so well.” Of course, Miss Fashion-Major Cassie had a positive reveiew, but that’s just cause she’s nice.
“I think you look fine Lillie, the maid of honors dress is supposed to be different anyways.” Charlie commented, checking herself out in the mirror, fluffing that mane on her haid she called hair. The sh*t was extra big today.
Shai hobbled over to me barefoot, adjusting the back of the dress for me. “You’re gonna look gorgeous, pregnant or not.” She smiled at me.
I looked at myself one more time and cracked a small smile. I can deal, I can deal; besides, the day isn’t about me, it’s about Samara.
We all turned and stared her down, crossing our arms while smiling wickedly.
“What?” She asked us queerly, like we were freaks. Oh, she knows why we’re staring.
Cassie stepped to her, slapping her hand on shoulder. “And what about you, bride? Not once have I seen you look at the gown section.” Cassie nodded her head over there. Mara looked back at it like it was the darklands.
Charlie was already on her way. “Mara, a princess gown will totally do it!” She hollered as scurried over there.
Shai smiled, looking Mara up and down before she followed Charlie. “Nah, I think a mermaid gown will fit her better.”
Samara face palmed herself. “Really guys, I’ll find my dress another time.” She said nervously.
Cassie smiled at her, wagging her fingers. “Nu-uh, you had us here all day almost, we’re not leaving till you find your dress!” She looked back to where the other two went. “Wait up guys!”
Samara groaned, as I padded up to her. “You know they’re going crazy right about now?” I asked, her chuckling. “That’s the worst part!” Samara mumbled.
I dragged her behind me. “It’s pay back trick! You made us change 6 times already, it’s YOUR turn.” I giggled, yanking her along.

Cassie
“Will you come out already??” Charlie asked, banging on Samara’s changing stall.
“No, I look ugly.” We heard her muffled voice say.
