“Trey! Come here and pretend to be my Dad!”

I scrapped my bangs out of my line of vision, wiggling in my own skin. The summer sun was beating on my back, and I wanted this rehersal to be over already.

My vision is coming to terms, everything is falling into place, just like I always imagined. A summer wedding, in the pretty hours of the morning, in the free outdoors. Simple yet posh. Although the wedding itself seemed simplistic, the reception would be everything BUT simple.

All I needed for the wedding ceremony were my freinds and family, the alter, and the love of my life. Then we’d party it up at the reception, best believe that!

Speaking of the reception, I have last minute things to check about that. Reasons why this rehearsal needs to be over with already. Trey trotted over to me, stopping short right before me.

“Come be your what?” He breathed.

“Just so can run this over once more, start from down there,” I pointed for him to go, shoving his back softly.

I looked over at Jacob, all comfy in his sweats, waiting by the alter like he’d been all morning. I promised him this would be the last time we’d go over the ‘me walking down the aisle’ part. Then he’d be free to go, I know my baby ss tired.

On the other hand, I still need to run through the bridesmaids and groomsmen entering. Speaking of that, Ray and Shai still aren’t here yet! I know I gave them clear directions. A lazy voice interrputed my thoughts.

“Isn’t everyone walking in the wedding supposed to be here for rehersal?” Craig asked, laid out on the many chairs set out for this weekend. “Their flight doesn’t come in until tonight,” I shrugged, “it doesn’t matter, my Dad has walked plenty of daughters down the aisle— basically, all my older sisters,” I laughed.

“Yeah, all five of them,” Jacob chimed in, smirking. He’s forever teasing me of my big family, only because he’s an only child.

“Okay, places, for the last time,” I said, standing on my side. Cassie flipped on the music, and I motioned for Trey to meet me in the middle of the aisle. I took his arm, and walked the designated speed down the aisle, and he lent me off to Jacob at the alter. Now that run was smooth, I don’t think we need to practice that anymore.

“Okay, I promised you that was the last night we’ll run over that, thank you,” I smiled up at Jacob.

“For what?” He cocked his head.

“For doing it one million billion times, I know you’re tired,” I half smiled.

He kissed my forehead, “I would’ve done it another zillion times, until you thought it was perfect. You are the main attraction, and I’m just your co-star.”

I smiled big at him, his charming words always found a way to make me feel like a princess. People say we’re alway stuck in this puppy-love phase, and you know what? I love it, I think it keeps our love renewed, keeps the flame sparked, a flame I never want to go out— ever.

I grasped the directions Samara gave me in my hands, looking at Ray as he turned yet another corner. Samara had set an early rehearsal, just so we’d have the rest of the day to our selves, but Ray and I are already 1 hour late!

Yes, if you haven’t notice, Ray and I are indeed an item again. And I’m so mad at myself for not forgiving him earlier, what was I thinking?! It’s taken me forever to see that I’ve been suffering from Ray withdrawl!
