“You’re an idiot…Nope, nope, don’t even explain yourself. Matter a fact, go kill yo’self.”

I listened to the basketball swish through the hoop as Craig shot another basket. I sat on the bleachers, taking a little break from our 2 on 2 game. Craig and Jacob can never beat Trey and I, never. But now all of sudden, I’m being interrogated. The absolute sh*t I hate.

I glared up at Trey, his face dripping with sweat. Why doesn’t HE go kill himself, little b****. “Shut up Trey, it’s the truth!” I protested. “You seriously think this kid is yours?” Jacob walked up, with a bottles of water. He handed me and Trey one.

Craig let the ball bounce away as he gravitated toward us. He snapped open a bottle of water, chugging half the thing before he came back up for air.

“It’s not even logical!” Jacob pressed, shaking his head. I rolled my eyes. “What, do you and Shai plan this sh*t, cause she’s been saying that for the past 2 weeks now!” I snarled.

“That’s cause they’re RIGHT, idiot!” Trey exclaimed, throwing his hands in the air. Craig stood there, rubbing the back of his neck. I know he was thinking the same thing, he just didn’t want to get riled up. I’m getting pissed at all of them right now.

“Call me another f*cking name..” I mumbled, glaring.

Blah, blah, blah— ‘Ray, it can’t be yours.’ or ‘Ray, she isn’t pregnant.’ Stupidity. Why can’t they let me be the stand up guy I need to be, handle what’s mine. I caused this, so I’ll take care of it. I don’t want or need anyone’s output, not even Shai’s. Speaking of that, sh*ts been tight between us, she frustrated and so am I. I never knew how jealous she could be, or does she just care TOO much. Whatever.

Trey put his hands up in defense. “I’m just trying to help you bro..” He said, more calm, more collected. I DON’T NEED YOUR HELP.

I stood up on my feet, as he backed up. “I don’t your— matter a fact, ANYONES help or opinion.” I snarled at them all, leaving the gymnasium. F*ck outta here with that.

I exhaled, I’m younger than this dude and I can clearly see something is wrong. He’s way to gullible for his own good, dear God. Shouldn’t have never dated the devil b**** in the first place, but noooo he didn’t listen. Now she’s supposedly pregnant— f*ck outta here with THAT.

I set my keys on the counter and strolled into my apartment. “Cassie?” I called out, I left her here before I went out unless she went out?

She came out from the back, she looked dressed, but casually. I looked at my watch; 2:18. She walked over to me, with that half smile that showed those dimples I love so much. “Where are you going?” I asked, going for a hug.

She put her hand up. “Nuu-uhh sweaty, no hugs and kisses for you till you shower.” She teased. I rolled my eyes. “It’s not where I’m going, it’s where WE’RE going.” She explained, as she walked behind me.

I turned around to find her plopped on the couch. “And that would be…?” I asked, coking an eye brow up. “Lunch with Charlie and Krys.” She beamed. I was slightly shocked. “Lunch? Are you sur—” She cut me off. “Remember, we’re all friends now? No drama, the past is the past. And friends go to have lunch, right?”

I nodded my head slowing, accepting it. “Okay, I guess.” I agreed. This should be interesting, well, maybe I don’t want that.

“Go on stinky, and hurry up! I’m waiting.” She crossed her arms, smirking. I stuck my tongue at her, making my way to the bathroom.
