ive been kind of editing this so you may have gotten a few notifications, it's only because I've added a few more characters and changed the fc to Sara Sampaio :)
Sirius Black was a lot of things; a flirt, a questionable person and definitely a loyal friend. What he wasn't though, was a quitter.
So, when the beauty that was Josephine Seignar had rudely -in his opinion- turned him away (he refused to say rejection, because Sirius Black was never rejected.) he decided he needed to change his game plan.
It had always came easy to him, wooing girls. All he had to do was send them a heated look and tilt his lips and the girls of Hogwarts came swooping.
It was a different story with the green eyes French girl, she seemed impervious to the charms of Sirius Black. Something he had never encountered before.
Even when he was younger, and in his household considered a blood traitor, he was still able to charm his mother at times when she wanted to kill him.
Of course he didn't need to worry about that anymore now that he lived with the Potters.
Even James, his best friend in the universe couldn't deny the lures of Sirius. Having witnessed plenty of woman -his own mother included- tripping over themselves to be near the grey eyed boy.
"Maybe there's something wrong with her," Peters squeaky voice cut Sirius from his day dream.
"There's nothing wrong with her." James snapped from his place on the floor. The boys were brainstorming ways to get Sirius in with the elusive Josephine.
They had done it many times throughout their stay at Hogwarts, seeing as there had been many girls through out their stays at Hogwarts.
And Sirius Black wanted them all.
"Perhaps, and correct me if I'm wrong," Remus spoke from his place on his bed, his nose in a book as usual. "But doesn't she actually have a brain?"
James and Peter snorted in laughter at that, it was true. Most of the girls that Sirius went after didn't exactly scream intelligence.
"I'm fully aware," Sirius snarked, tired of his boys teasing him about going after a girl they saw 'not in his league.'
Sirius couldn't understand that, everyone was in his league. Hell if their wasn't an age consent he'd probably charm the skirts of Professor McGonnagal or Madam Pomfrey.
"Maybe just talk to her." Remus spike once again, turning the page of his book slowly so the others knew he was still in the conversation.
"Yeah, that didn't work out so well last time." Sirius scratched the back of his head sheepishly, remembering the hard stomp of her foot and her angry French.
'Still super hot though' he couldn't help but think.
"Padfoot," James warned. "What did you do?"
"Nothing," Sirius protested, well in his eyes it was nothing. "What do you care anyway?"
James couldn't answer that one, he had told his mates that he was engaged he just didn't tell them to whom.
He didn't know if he wanted it known, didn't know if it would last that long to have to be known.
"Well," James spoke, deciding then and there he couldn't keep anything from his best friends. "You know how I said I was engaged?"
"Yeah" Sirius squinted his eyes at James, wondering where he was going with the conversation.
"It's to her." James whispered, loud enough for the three other boys to hear.
"What?"
"Wow, good going mate!"
"Traitor!"
Three voices sounded all at once, The last of the three being the loudest.
"What Padfoot?" James scrunched his nose. "How am I a traitor?"
"You couldn't be happy with one hot girl, you had to go and call dibs on the other one. No fair."
James rolled his eyes as his best friend crossed his arms and started to pout, he wondered if his friend would ever grow up.
"Lily has always been off limits, and Josephine is well.." James Hesitated, he didn't know why he was suddenly protective of her. "She's her own person and I'm sure she wouldn't like that you're talking about her like she's an object."
Sirius mumbled profanities back at James, knowing full well he was right but too proud to admit t.
It didn't change anything, Josephine being engaged to James. In fact it made her more desirable.
He still thought she was one of the hottest people he had ever met, still wanted to snog the daylights off of her. He had never been deterred from a taken person, let alone an engaged one.
They were all free game until the real ring was placed on their finger, that was where Sirius drew the line.
Yet, it was different this time. It wasn't just another engaged girl who was looking for a bit of fun before she was tied down to a boring guy for the rest of her life. This was James fiancé. James Potter. His best friend. His brother.
If there ever was a time for Sirius Black to have morals, it was now.
"Do you," Sirius found it hard to speak the words. "Do you love her?"
"What?" James was caught off guard by the question.
"Do you love her Prongs?" Sirius asked once again, only slower this time.
"No, WHAT THE HELL!" James screamed.
"I've been loyal to one girl for the past six years and you think I'm just going to ditch her because I'm getting married to some supermodel?" James huffed, mad at his friend for questioning his loyalty to Lily Evans.
"I love Lily, there will never be anyone to replace her." James voice was final as he stood to collect his books and stomped out the door.
"I'll be in the head boy dormitory if you need me." He called over his shoulder before rushing down the stairs.
A silence fell over the three remaining boys before it was broken by Sirius Black.
"What's got his knickers in a wad?" He questioned, confused at his best friends outburst.
His only response was a book thrown at his head by Remus, who couldn't help but smile at his friends antics.
