12. The War I

Theo and Luna watched as Neville blasted the bridge and it began to crumble and fall, taking Neville with it. Daphne screamed and lunged forward.

"Neville!", she yelled.

Blaise held her back and watched anxiously as a hand came up. Daphne gasped. "Neville!", she tried again.

"Neville's still here Daph", said Neville as he came up and got up. He was smiling. Daphne smiled through her tears and flung her arms around his neck and cried.

"Sodding lovebirds", Theo scoffed from the other side.

"It's cute, you know", Luna said.

Theo scowled and looked away.

Luna tutted and grabbed his arm. Theo looked down at her and frowned. Luna spoke, "What if it was Daphne falling? Would your reaction still be the same?"

Theo thought for a moment and then locked his dark blue eyes with her ocean blue ones.

"No", he paused. "But it wouldn't be as bad as it would be if it were you instead of her.", he stated solemnly.

Luna smiled and asked, "Do you remember my promise of later? ".

Theo smirked. " Well of course I do. Is this your later ?", he asked.

Luna blushed lightly and nodded and then slowly wrapped her arms around his waist and leaned up. Theo grabbed her face and crashed his lips onto hers. Their lips moved together like fire and ice, hot and cold, rough and soft.

And then they heard someone clear their throat. Theo groaned and reluctantly pulled apart and found Draco and Hermione staring at them. Theo scowled. "Your timing is shit Malfoy".

Draco rolled his eyes and spoke, "There's a bloody war going on Theo. You and Lovegood can snog all day after its all over".

"Yeah, but only if we make it out alive", Luna stated dreamily with a smile.

Draco sighed and looked at her Hermione who was staring at the mess in front of her. He tightened his grip on her hand and she looked up at him. "Let's continue", he said softly.

She nodded and they walked forwards with Theo and Luna in tow.

Hexes were being thrown everywhere. People were falling and rising. Draco and Hermione ran hand in hand towards the Great hall. Just when they were about to turn, Bellatrix Lestrange stepped up.

"Oh Draco.", she cooed. But when she saw him holding Hermione's hand, her eyes turned into a venomous glare. " Why are you treating her like a human?!", she screeched.

Draco simply pointed his wand at her chest and muttered a quick Stupefy and Hermione watched in amazement as Bellatrix's limp body fell I'm front of them.

Little did they know that they were being watched by the husband of the victim.

Theo and Luna dashed towards where Blaise and Pansy were standing. They heard death eaters approaching so Theo quickly let go of Luna's hand and grasped her by her neck from behind and mumbled an apology. There were 3 death eaters. One of them spoke, "If anyone of you sees Malfoy, you are to bring him straight to Mr. Lestrange. He is a traitor so beware." And with that, the trio walked away.

Blaise turned and saw a very pale looking Theo. Blaise touched Theo's shoulder who shuddered in response. Blaise quickly pulled them behind a pillar to avoid being the centre of attention. Theo finally managed to stutter, "B-blaise they know....They know about D-Draco. He's in danger. We need to go!", he yelled the last part.
