JIYEON

I waited for at least 20 minutes. Within the time span, I looked somewhat presentable and fixed everything up.

There's a knock on the door.

Rushing up to the door as I brush my hair out of my face to welcome Hoseok.

He was my closest friend and someone who I could trust.

"Hey, do you want anything?" I ask just cause I had asked him at such a late notice.

"No it's okay. Are you feeling fine? Over the phone you were sniffling a lot."

"About that, I need to tell you something about Jimin."

"Oh god. Is this why Jimin was angry when he came over to our place? Continue on."

"He was? -nevermind that- just yesterday he had confessed to me saying that he liked me. I don't know if our feelings are mutual, but I just went with the flow."

"Don't you hate him? Why was he at your place? Don't you and him both have better things to do?"

"I was thinking the same thing. He's just a playboy. This morning, he already tried, you know."

"-just. Just, don't go into the details. I get the gist of it." He said empathetically, almost sharing a sorrow look in his eyes.

"I just feel that, I'm never going to have a lasting relationship with him. Especially since the moment we have mutual feelings," I say with air quotes "is he really worth it?"

"Well, my answer is." Hoseok takes a pause, hesitating for a second or two. "You deserve better."

"You're right, to be honest I felt nothing going on with him."

"I've wanted to tell you this for a really long time, but if you don't know that's fine too."

"Get to the point already." Laughing it off.

"I like you. I won't do anything without your consent. I promise I'll always be there for you. If you don't want to have a relationship, we can still be friends."

"Well. That's a lot to take in, but Hoseok, of course we'll always be friends. And I'll make sure to think about it. I promise, if we do start a relationship, I'll never use you as an object." I smile at him, he returns the smile.

Ouch, friend-zoned...

Hobi and I talked a while watched movies and even spilled some embarrassing stories.

"How long does it take to go to a friend's house?" Jimin asked annoyingly, while pacing on the living room floor.

"What's up with you today? Have you already dated every girl in the school?" Namjoon smirks.

"He hasn't, hyung. Don't forget about that, those two hate each other." Jungkook responded.

Jimin was silent, a wave of guilt crossing over him. It's true he was usually in for other things, but this time it felt purer.

Jimin's expression softened and wondered if he should apologise.

"What's up with you today hyung?" Jungkook asked.

"Nothing," he mumbled. "I need to go somewhere, I'll be back soon."

Jimin

I hurriedly exited the house to get in my car, on my way to Jiyeon's. To be fair, she had every right to be mad at me. I didn't even ask for her consent and it was obvious she felt uncomfortable.

After much debating in the car, Jimin had found a way to apologise.

He had just arrived at her house, peering in through the window to see if she was still around. Most of the lights were on, except in the living room.

He was already astonished to see Hoseok sitting next to her.

A few things were running through his mind and none of them were positive ideas. He just stood there in front of the entrance hesitating to press the doorbell.

A few minutes passed and Jimin sat on the bench in the porch, still deciding what to do.

"What a slut..." Jimin says as he stands up from the bench.

He turns to look back at the entrance, only to see Jiyeon and Hoseok quiet.

"Oh so you still think of me like that. I just, don't ever understand you. And neither will you."

"That's really not what I meant Jiyeon. I-" he was interrupted by a door slam to his face.

Jimin sat back down in the bench sulking with his hands over his eyes.

"Forget it."
