A/n: whatta accomplishment, we're halfway through the book :) Also, it's always in your Pov unless stated it's not

We headed off to the beach. I had worn a one piece swimsuit because Jimin continuously argued about how I'd be turning men on if I wore a bikini. But I mean that's his problem, isn't it?

I wasn't planning on going into the water, but let's be honest, we all end up going anyway.

"Oh my gosh! Look at the sight, it's so beautiful!" Sungwoo exclaimed.

He was right about that, there was water and some seaweed on the sand. Along with few other people and probably the cleanest beach you'll ever see.

Daewhi was already running into the water before any of us could begin to speak.

"Yah, what are you guys doing? Come on already!" Daehwi gets interrupted by Jimin, as expected.

"No! No! We have rules here!" Jimin starts, he's obviously regretting his choice of even coming here.

"First off, no being obnoxious. Second we are leaving in two hours. Third, no talking to strange-"

Sungwoo interferes, "Who are you? My dad? Yeah I didn't think so."

Sungwoo frolics away hand in hand with Daewhi, his partner in crime.

I ship it, Sungwhi for life.

I laid down the beach towel and sat on the warm towel.

"Jiyeon, you can't do that. Wear my jacket!" Jimin hands me his jacket as he looks away.

"Why? You have the traits of a mom." I sigh.

"No it's just that," he pauses briefly," some other guy will–"

"Sometimes I wonder why you like a woman like me." I take the jacket from his hands and drape it over me.

"I'm going to go in the water!" I wave to Jimin.

"No! You can't go in!" Jimin sounds desperate.

"Why not?" I stop in my tracks.

"I, I can't tell you," Jimin looks at the ground as if he's complentating something.

Jimin Pov

Time would repeat itself if I let her enter the water.

"Stop playing Jimin," the tone in her voice became serious.

"I'm really not joking. Just believe me on this one." I explain.

"Fine, but you need to tell me why I can't go in the water."

"I don't think I'll ever have a chance to tell you," I say.

Jiyeon seemed to be fairly annoyed as to why I wouldn't tell her. She sat back down, my gaze shifted towards some other people on the beach.

Just then I saw Jiyeon running into the water.

"Jiyeon! I already told you! Don't go!" I cry out and run towards her.

She pays no attention and continues to run to where the water met the sand.

She took a step into the water and turned around, "See Jimin, I'm fine–"

I grabbed her hand and dragged her out of the water quickly, "I'm telling you. Don't go in there."

"Then tell me why," she shouts. It was obvious we were making a scene.

"You have got to trust me on this one."

I glance over at the ocean, seeing a glint in the sand. It made me nervous, it was definitely time to go.

"Come on, guys! Let's go," I call out. There's an annoyed that expression on Jiyeon's face.

Grudgingly, the three of them make their way back to the car. With my hands on the wheel and the radio playing aloud, I savored the moment.

I knew all of this wouldn't last forever. I just need to make sure that the shard is never found.

It's not easy being the son of a family who has been cursed.
