Credence POV

I didn't know how I escaped. But I found myself on a big street, strangely, no one was here. I tripped and fell, holding my aching ribs. In fact, my whole body was aching. I couldn't breathe, it felt like my mind was getting tripped out of my head, I couldn't think clearly. I crawled to the sidewalk, with the last force I had. I put my hand on my aching heart, as life was quitting my body.

"Percival" was all I could let out as what I thought would be my last word.

Percival POV

I opened my eyes, I was in a white room, my head hurt like a bitch. I had to close my eyes because of the light in the room.
I tried to get up, but felt so dizzy I had to lied down. Then I felt a hand on my shoulder.

"Mr Graves, you have to rest, you have been very badly treated and you also certainly have psychological trauma, don't push yourself too hard."

Mrs Picquery.

"-What are you doing here Seraphina ?
-I heard of what happened to you, I'm truly sorry for not noticing that something was wrong... I thought I knew you but apparently not enough to know when someone pretends to be you...
-Yeah, erm, it's alright. Can I ask you one favor ? It's something really important.
-Of course !
-Could you search for someone named 'Credence Barebone' please ? He's in grave danger and he needs your help and protection. Please.
-I'll do it. Don't worry."

She smiled with teary eyes and got up.
"I'm glad you're alive, Percival, I don't know what we would have done without you..."

I smiled.

"I'm off to search for your Credence, I'll be back when I have news about that."
She left.

It made something to my heart hearing her saying 'your Credence'.
He was my most precious possession, even though he's neither mine nor an object. I needed more than anything and my insides turned thinking about what might have happened to him.

I was praying for him to be alive. I would do anything for him to be alive, nothing mattered as much as he did. I would exchange my life for his.

Please. If there's some god up here. Please, please, help him. Please, can you save him. And above anything, please bring him back to me. I need him and, I might be wrong, but I think he needs me too. Please. I'm sorry for being so selfish and so needy. I'm sorry for asking for so much. But please, make sure he lives and is alright. I'm begging you.

"Credence, please believe me. Percival. The real one, the one you first knew. He needs you..."
The feminine voice talked louder this time.

"PERCIVAL LOVES YOU". She shouted. Her voice was halted by sobs.

I gasped for air.
I needed him.
I loved him.

She sighed.
"Thank god. I'll never thank you enough Credence for staying with us."

A/N: Heyy, sorry for the short update considering how late this update is. I'm thinking of ending the story here.
And leave the rest to a sequel. It's pretty obvious that Credence will live. He loves Credence. But what will happen when the two meet again ?
